Can you even do that without it going to the stone plot count down from 99 plat? This I thought was done to discourage house selling like UO was famous for.

Yup of course. Just get a housing deed and trade to another player.
Most people aren't going to be selling their house in the front few housing lots (i.e. the ones people would care to buy). |
