Hi,

i am still far away from having enough money to level up a LGM but for the lower levels and the way there i have two main questions:

1. During levelling your craft, do you salvage the things you crafted and reuse the materials, or is that not worth it, because the skill isn't high enough yet and its better to just sell it to NPC?

2. How much gain is usually involved in salvaging and trinketing? i couldn't really find inputs on that. For example i found the information that a fin-hammer could be turned into ~150g with trinketing. But how much would the hammer sell for directly? And how much would the salvaged materials sell for directly?

Diaselas turn into almost 15G/pcs after trinketing, but how much would selling the materials directly net?

Is it VERY different for every item and thats why i didnt find any data or are there approximates aka. salvaging will give you +10-20% compared to directly selling and trinketing gives another +10% VS selling the materials directly? (numbers are pulled out of my arse...just an example)

You have to know which material you gain from the drop and the amount of mats.
For example:
You get a ~lvl 40 chest piece drop.
You can either sell it to a NPC for 5-10g (don't know for sure) or salvage it, get 40 asterite bars and get 2,25g per bar by trinketing (so around 90gold).
That's alot more and worth the time.
When you level up your skills you usually do it with items that don't cost that much materials (gloves/boots/sleeves/daggers..). You sell them directly back to the NPC.

Use this link to know how much you get from trinketing different materials. It even shows the material cost for different items and the NPC sell back value.

Okay thanks, so trinketing to NPC sell price is HUGE (in your example ~10times). Do Materials give 50% of purchase price from NPC?
This only applies to the high value metall-drops right?

Thanks for the link, i stumbled upon that site but didn't see it has resell and trinketing information.

Just to make sure i am using it correctly?

Example:
Hard Starklaeder Gloves | 4Silkthread 10Hardleather | Cost: 89s28c | Sell: 67s20c

Salvage into: 12 hard leather (??because it is small item??): would cost 86s40c if bought (does that mean selling would only give half of it, leading to a bigger loss than selling the item?)

Thanks :)

crafted stuff never salvage. Its always more profit to sell the item to npc
