I'm not sure but I think 2% for a legendary crafter?

Does the con of the item effect chance?

From what I have read, and experienced as a crafter, I believe it is a 2% chance to craft an MP on anything that cons gray to you (in your craft, not your player level). Once you reach 1000 in your craft it becomes 2% for every item, regardless of what it cons.

So once you reach Legendary status you should level up on items that you think you can sell later, instead of just what is cheapest, because you might just craft the MP items that will earn back all the money you spent on leveling your craft
