Just look at the dmg type. If they're different, it should stack. Same, nope.

I dont know where you had ur infos, but that`s not right.

shaman ae dot (cave specc) do body dmg and single (cave base) makes matter dmg, both didnt stack. (same spell line)
Menta dot base (mentalism) and specc (mana) are energy, both are stacking. (other spell line)

maybe it dosnt stack, because same crafter?^^
try it and enlighted us.

They used to stack back in the days if the damage type was different. Dot Poison is body, dot proc (crafted) is matter. Therefore they stack.

This has nothing to do with spec lines (totally different story here). The proc just needs another dam type to stack.

If it is the same here on uthgard I do not know yet, because my shade is still in statu nascendi. But if it is live like, it stacks.

It does, I tested it on beta.

I would still buy a cheap weapon and test in a dual though as some things might have been ninja changed.
If a Paladin uses endurance chant in 1.65, and no one is within 1000 yards to hear it, does it make a sound?

After extensive testing:

Dot proc if not 8man for more overall damage (just 2 dot proc ticks > than 1 dd proc)
DD proc if 8man to not break snare and do more upfront burst dps.

Ardri wrote:Even if it does, you should still use a DD proc on your weapon.

Dot procs 2x in a row: you just lost damage and re-applied the dot after a measly 1 tick.
Dot procs when target at 10%: you apply a slow dot which has no effect on the fight because you kill him with your next swing anyway.
Dot procs on PA/CD: target purges stun/poisons and you do no dot proc damage.

DD procs 2x in a row: boom you do 95x2 damage immediately in the fight.
DD procs when target is at 10%: you likely kill him with the proc ending the fight. No time for retaliation.
DD procs on PA: Sick damages bro.

Etc etc.

depends what you want.

the dot does more damage if it ticks only 2 times.
the first tick is immediately at proc.
the offhand swings at ~50% chance (for Albion and Hib). this lowers the chance to have a double proc even more.
the chance of two procs in a row from the same weapon is also low (it's chance*chance).

even as a SB i used double dot procs for years and i was never disappointed with them
if i remember right. this is all out of memory.

Does anyone know if the reactive armor dot (matter dmg) stack together with the base dot (matter) and specc dot (matter) of the Bonedancer? I know that the base & spec dot stack together, but because they are also matter I would like to know if they stack with the matter proc dot.

Thanks
