i just want to log in and do some zerg rvr / defense / etc... Who has the zerg friendly realm and who to look for?

I personally think its not who is zerging right now, cuz zerg is 80% of the time just a reaction on other ppl behavior ( adding, 16 slot 32 slot etc )
Sure you have black sheeps who always do it, tho that does not mean you ( your grp ) has to.

It ruins the game and its not really worth it to zerg considering the RP's you might get.

Some People don´t play because of RP-Gain and zerging is not ruining the game, it is the game.
And ofc 8vs8 don´t ruin aswell, it is even the game. Every kind of DaoC is the game.

OT: I think Midgard is the more zergy realm, but even hibs and albs have zerg sometimes. So there is no realm, which has whenever you log in a zerg running

So the thread opener is one of those "black sheeps" adding your 8man fights what will ruin the game and yield less rp/hour than running a high rr 8man pewpew group?

Ever tought about casuals and their limited time? He probably just want to come online and join a zerg/keep raid like in good old days to have some fun without spending 1+hour building a random group to get ganked by some high rr guild groups.

Well maybe i am wrong about you, but i have seen this happen often, so im sure alot of elitists will be happy when there is not a single casual player left on this server.

And what exactly is your problem with this attitude?
Every single player can decide how he wants to play this game. If you want 'add' every fight, just do it. But if your fellow realmmates prefer to have 8v8 and are pulling out, letting you die, dont complain about it. It was your choice to 'add' or 'not add' the fight. Live with your decissions.

Evening over Evening 8v8 grps get zerged by more than 1 grp, they continue running 8man, get zerged again. They simply cant complain either, cause they choose the way of not gathering with realmmates against the zerg.

IMO no playstyle is actually killing the server/population. It's just the part of not respecting every playstyle that exists.
DAoC is about zerg, about solo rvr, smallmen rvr, 8v8. None of those playstyle is 'wrong', everything is RvR.

What numbers = zerg? More than 8?

If so, I zerg all the time because we have more that 8 guildies usually who want to rvr. We try to balance groups much as we can but often they are not the "ideal" setup...and often not even all 50. We might field 16-20 people and run as group. Is that by definition a zerg? Whatever it is, I have fun doing it.

This can be taken any way since you have to have more then a group to work vs keeps now days with insta guard spawns and the rate at which the guards pop.

I would say if you want to 8vs8 you will be hard press to find a group that is not already a solid 8vs8 build.

This doesn't mean that there is not a ton of other guilds out there that play with each other and kill folks. The problem is that half the guilds you see tend to play with randoms from other guilds so you either run into a guild group or a group of guildies and a few stragglers who are in different guilds because they are either NA based or Euro based.

All three realms zerg. Alb seems more evasive when zerging though, while mid/hib are more willing to hit each other.

Just what I've seen in my limited time here.

Hibs zerged Beno with 34 yesterday and it was a mid keep in alb frontier. Mids never have this numbers NA time.

Saturday 26th ; EU action report

Hibs retaking their keeps (mid had secured almost all of them by the time eu prime began)
And the hibs had upwards of 90 people!
Mids defended DC with 40-50 people. Most mids died in courtyard but the remaining mids held lord room for an impressive amount of time.

We chose to prot bolg next, and with even less mids but a better strategy I was able to pop MCL twice during an amazing, "Dem Hibbies"-esque pbaoe defense.
Only difference was we didn't prevail.

We then bounced around next few hours chasing inc reports.

My 8 man finished the night destroying a hib 16+ slot outside nottmoor. Hibs retreated to Med, so did we, but got caught with our pants down by an alb 8 man.
Reallllly wanted to fight the albs again but shaman needed to log.

What I'm kinda getting at is that the action is strong and easy to find, it may not be the perfect kind of inc (my group ((Midgard caster group)) would prefer 8 so that we can practice) but if we come up against 16 in open fields or 24-32 at a keep, we will hit it
