since /broad cannot be used to give intel anymore, and that there are /broad channels in RvR zones, can we get a /intel channel or something similar ?

what would be the purpose of such /broad channels otherwise ?

are we supposed to make a tedious BG in each zone when some solo guy wants to give a valuable info ?

I'm all for getting organized together but there is a limit to that... why restrict the use of /broad to a timer like LFG ? it will just be replaced by yelling in cities and impair RvR capabilities...

It was never authorized in Uthgard 2.0 to give intel in /lfg or /trade.

EDIT: it is authorized to give intel in /broad

The closest thing to an intel channel is the /as channel (guild alliance)

You have to report anyone who does not use these channels correctly.

Golden Rule: Treat others as you wish to be treated by them.

If you go stealth to relic, you don't want someone to say in /lfg[ENEMY REALM GOING FOR RELIC]
it is against the rule and breaks the surprise effect.

Who actually reports people for giving RvR info in the LFG channel? lol. I just use the information and act like I never saw it. I'm not going to go through the effort to get someone banned or restricted from LFG for trying to help his or her realm, Hell if anything I would argue that anyone willing to risk their lfg privilages, or worse, is a true selfless protector of their realm.

Let's not sit here and pretend that Discord/Twitch/Teamspeak/Ventrilo aren't used to relay RvR info, often times between different realms freely. From zerging to soloing I can guarantee you that both enemy realms know what you're doing most of the time. A good example is an encounter I had last month with a friar. We saw eachother and closed in to engage, at that time a group of mids came through and rolled over the both of us. 5-10 mins later I start getting tells from Hibs I'd otherwise never had a direct conversation with, giving me a message from said friar saying that he wouldn't have engaged me if he'd saw those mids inc (I didn't see them either, no big deal, life of a soloer) I wasn't offended by the relaying of information, just a bit taken back at just how closely we're all networked from the smallest scaled fights to the biggest.

PS. If a stealther were inc to any relic it would be because he was looking to farm people coming out to defend, at which point I'm sure he would welcome you broadcasting there are enemies inc to the relic in LFG/Trade, that means more potential targets for him/her.

Well, since i assume every player on your realm is not in the same discord/ventrillo/ ts server, i dont think you can compare it to a realm-wide instant broadcast to everyone online system such as the /lfg. A reasonable work-around is construct a battle group and the people who want to ve made aware of intel have access to it and they can broadcast in there own /as to spread the word. Damn millenials and their EZ modes!!

@Russiancrushian ....You'd be surprised. Realm-wide Discord channels were a thing not so very long ago. Getting 450+ Hibs to register to theirs was very impressive, and also made LFG/Trade restrictions obsolete.

Irregardless, people opt in for that and its a 3rd party program. Would be like sending a mass email to everyone subscribed to a feed.

What you are implying is to take a feature in game and exploiting its ability to realm wide broadcast to get an advantage. The act in its self is the core of an exploitation.

Perhaps more communication would provide more action?

In my experience, spamming lfg doesnt yeild any more players in RvR, atleast not to any measurable degree.

So the arguement is moot on both sides.

Just put in a defense channel and call it a day. I mean this way the folks who pve can just uncheck the box. It's not like someone in lfg is saying relic under attack and the defenders report the guy bc he used the wrong channel.

We will not enable a global chat. Each system has their restrictions, including battlegroups200 members limit, alliances limited to 20 guilds etc). To reach a broader set of players, join larger guilds and alliances.
