So are you still laughting. This was exactly the point I tried to make prior to the event. You albs might enjoy your zerglife, but when these events are on All mids come together, and you really should be happy that midgard as a realm dont enjoy everyone hand-holding. or you would see these numbers every evening.

Yesterday for an example, alb had 50keeptakers out in a BG. Meanwhile Hib was reraiding in their own frontier in EU primetime, mids had a BG out and im not sure about their numbers but at the same time mids had 4-5 8man groups running in DF clearing it instead of zerging it up outnumbering everything and come fight your keeptake BGs.

With that being said, thanks for hosting the event! A little supriced it was over so fast, and that it sounds like the albs couldnt even keep their tropps together oO ? (one would think you have the experience to lead /stick by doing this every day  )

midgard's point of view for tonight:https://www.twitch.tv/bomblingtv

Thanks for mentioning this...

Again, like so many times before there was a point in this when fun turned to no fun which was when certain individuals being in my bg thought it was a good idea to reveal the numbers and positons of the albs in that chat above.
I have the footage and screenshots to prove it.

So, what's the point in this? I asked myself so many times...there is absolutely no need for this with the mids already having superiority in numbers and a good leadership. There is so much whining about what should be added to this game and what's missing but that's not the problem.

This kind of cheating and x-realming is killing the community and the game.
You might call me naive and say this applies to all realms but in that case this is not my game anymore.

I like to organize stuff like this which results in epic battles because that's what we're all here for but after these recent incidents I have to reconsider doing another one.

But.. what I don't get..

I''ve seen the albs run with numbers above 100+ on several occasions... why didn't it work here :( ? Topenga called out the event soon enough and everything .. it'S a mystery to me :o

Anyways, thanks alot for organising :) Im sorry you're numbers didn't work out as evenly ... think it would've been a big blast with more even numbers :D

One point in the zerg event hibs were going to leave hibland and port to albion .where action seems to have picked up and moved out of hibland. But something changed our minds... ie the intro to this video .lol

Had a huge fight in OG by AMG yesterday vs. hibs, we ended up losing, but damn that was epic!

Made me wish NS/shrooms were nerfed though, but still tons of fun :)

As for my stream, I purposly chose not to hide anything for this event. Voicecoms included, twitchchat shown in the VOD, and ingame BG chat shown. To avoid all these accusations and misunderstandings. And for future events I will be showing the same transparency.
One hour before the event we ran 16slot guild&friends drunk event, and ran into this situation. Mid Event-BG was on standby in SF building groups and getting ready, while we had the GermanMID alliance BG doing their own thing as they usually do, without coordination to the rest of the realm. I took contact to him asking if he was joining as you can see in the VOD:
https://www.twitch.tv/videos/239437234?t=00h36m56s
(he offered to come help, but as we got informed mids had supperior numbers so chose to let them do their own thing PvEing keeps)

And as Liah points out, with 1½month of prep. How can you not muster more numbers than you normally do on a standard workday evening, with this long notice and history for being the zerg realm? That combined with strugling to keep the troops together for the big open field fights just seem very strange from an outside perspective.

My view is for sure biased, but the way i saw this event unfold:
- alb had a zerg out in Emain (the assigned zone for the event) one hour prior to the start.
- this kickstarted the midgard BG and ported Emain to fight the Albs (while Moonwolf bg was taking keeps in Albfrontier)
- 1hour before official event start, and till event start i checked mid BG numbers. about 110 mids in BG and in emain.(20-30mids in Pennine)
- mid bg had 2-3 fights vs alb 30min before official start, and at official start. and then albs didnt port emain again and stayed "home"
- mid BG ported after the hosting-realm. (since last time we got yelled at for staying in hib frontier and try to use relics to bait the host back)
- Official event start, mid and alb bg in Alb frontier and hibs were probably very confused about what was going on.
- some fighting in Emain but no 3way, alb had fled and hibs were outnumbered. We judged the event was over and i turned the stream off.

Albs does not have a very active RvR population, as weekly rp numbers will show you.
And I'm not sure where the 100+ albs numbers come from, not seen those since a couple of zergs events ago.

Anyway, moving into realm discussions and that ended up locking last thread.

Last time we saw 100+ albs was when you succesfully took our relic, on a weekday. not so long ago.
I agree its not EVERY day. But the general concirn on Midgard, is that Albs always outnumber and outzerg. So it did feel good to give back and make you tast your own medicin. Eventhough it would be at the cost of our own enjoyment, and why you dont see Midgard as a realm do this every night to counter ther alb zerg. even if we have the active rvr population to do so.

Believe it or not I actually just wanted everyone to have fun:

most of the mids have heard about the event because i made 5 hours before advertising and created a bg 2 hours before.
I was surprised how fast the mids were ready after our 16-slot hit the albzerg.
and it surprised me how many albs were traveling.at a normal day they will be more. And it was disappointing that you left your own event so fast.
We knocked on the relics to have action at the end. thx hibs for the nice fights!

That event was an absolute blast! Thank you Topenga for organizing it. It tends to be less fun for the realm who is throwing the party from what I've seen. Hib united under two awesome female leaders for the majority of the defense. We had a total of four relic attempts during the event which we defended against beautifully. Even though we didn't have the majority, we certainly kicked some ass.

Thanks to everyone who came out. I'm sorry you had people on twitch feeding info. We used a temporary discord just for the occasion because we have an issue with people giving mids our info sometimes too.

Impressive to hear about the Hib organization. Would be hella scary if you had Alb or Mid's numbers 8O

Was an interesting test to see when both of the Beehives (relic keeps) were getting hit at almost same time, how the hibs would react. Pretty solid def(s)!

Unfortuneatly there were no 3way openfield fights.
Anyone planning to make the next event? else I cold potentially come up with a ruleset and reachout to the commanders on each realm to get a gentlemans agreement about the ruleset, time and date etc.
