I don't remember buff pots being available when SI was released up until Toa was released. Can anyone confirm or deny this??

I believe they were released after SI but before ToA. I'm not exactly sure of the dates but I remember specifically doing spellcrafting in SI zones well before ToA.

Am I really going to have to carry pots for each thing, str con dex quik endo etc etc etc, and they only last 10 min??
My whole backpack is gonna be full of pots.
I gonna spend half the time being distracted with shuffling pots and buffing every 10 min, uck...
Plz tell me there is a solution...

if you want to run "full buffed" with potions, your inventory will last about an hour, deal with it (or dont) :-P

sounds like it makes more sense to pick and choose which buffs are most important to you, rather than trying to stay full buffed anymore.

I don't remember pots in classic either, I choose to play Classic for the simplicity. This is far from simple. I'm playing a Scout, so I guess Shield, con, dex and endo. All that's gonna happen is, I'm gonna get burnt out faster, opposed to enjoying it longer. I hope they consider making the pots last an hour or take them out.

A game is suppose to be fun, is it fun, shuffing, pots, buffing every 10 min and spending all my money on pots?? This is a no brainer, make the pots last an hour or take em out or give us npc buffers. Buffs have been a problem since day one. It's my only complaint, besides the wait to play...

Most people probably don't remember potions because of buffbots. Why use alchemy/charges when you get all those awesome buffs?

They used to have potion barrels here back when the server started, they removed them because it wasn't in for 1.65. To be completely honest I never liked potions/charges in this game, I thought they were a pain in the ass and they make me feel like I'm missing something if I don't have them.

I agree. If your in a grp with a friar and a cleric, fine. But for soloers, it needs to be fair across the board. either we all have buffs or we dont, either is fine, I just want fairness. Otherwise it's going to lead to people buying plat with real money to afford pots everyday all day long. I have a good job and I can afford to buy plat, but I don't wanna go there, I rather things be fair.

Either make pots have 20 charges and pots buffs last an hour or put npc buffers or take out stupid pots or people are gonna buy plat with real money.

These are facts.

We have a chance to get it right now, while it's early.

And don't say ..... dont solo ... the game is disigned for people to solo, to help the realm, hence why the game HAS SOLO CLASSES...

I always thought pots were unfair to buffing classes. Often these classes lacked other battle skills. The buffs (for themselves and/or others) was what helped keep classes balanced.

If pots were banned along with buffbots being banned then everyone would be on a level playing field solo and you would not have to worry about it.

I would add that one could argue potions were ONLY added to the game to counteract rampant buff botting. No buff bots, no need for potions.

There's always charged items as well. Removing potions would just increase demand for those.

Also think of the poor alchemists!

Yeah, it's not really something they can remove this late in the game. I'd like to have seen a custom server without buff pots or charges but I don't think it will ever happen.

What's more likely is that things will remain a cumbersome unenjoyable experience for soloers or everyone goes to Genesis when it comes back. I don't remember the Genesis potion rules there but I know they were more relaxed on pretty much everything.

Origins pots were 10 min duration and 3 charges if I remember, maybe more charges but certain on the duration.
