Hey everyone,

We've been working on building up the NA 8v8 action on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday evenings, during NA prime (approximately 9 - 12 PM EST) for a couple of weeks now and it's getting a little bit of steam behind it. Usually there are 1-2 groups from each realm, of various realm ranks and skill levels, looking for fights those nights.

It'd be really awesome if we could get a few more groups in the mix to really make it interesting.

So if you, or anyone you know might be interested in trying to bring their group back to play for a bit, it'd be a great time to do so.

To add onto what Toadster was saying, it has been very nice action the last two months on those days. I have never felt like it was a waste logging in. All groups have been very respectful and, mostly, avoid dirty hits.

Ditto. Most unfortunate thing about DAoc is it takes 8 players to make a group and sometimes they just aren't available. But if you start logging on these nights there are plenty of groups running. More groups make a healthier eco system. So get out there!

Now that I am nearly 30 and getting married, it boggles my mind thinking back how in 2002-2005 it seemed totally normal for every single 8 man to play 3-4 hours a night M-F.

Granted I was like 16 but half my 8 man was married with young kids. How they managed that without quickly becoming single I'd love to know.

Just gotta negotiate with wife/GF. I'm broke buying all the furniture and ****** she wants, but I got my DAoC playtime.

Hey me too, 2 weeks out. Hope planning is going well.

On a related note, we've been trying to run an 8-man Sunday afternoons 3 PM PST. Due to the aforementioned being 30 and getting married, I can't commit to anything more than once a week (and any static commitment is universally difficult for folks, it seems). But we're trying.

+1 on NA primetime RvR

Haven't shown my face in a bit, but hope there will be plenty of action if/when I make my return!

Now we get the at the root of why I've been going so whole hog on server stuff...its inextricably linked to my emptying bank account.  :hammer: 8)
