Played in the beta all those years ago :D

Remember running out of Galplen as a Troll for the very first time....and dozens of similar trolls running around - it felt so alive

Then on to Excalibur / Prywden.

Hopelessly addicted to the game in the early years, happy to admit it.

And even though I rarely play now, never for one second have I felt that any time I spent on it was wasted.

Pc Games open daoc beta, or was it Gamestar?

I played in Midgard first in beta, after release I played 2 weeks in Albion - Avalon server and switched to lyonesse- Hibernia after that. Always been mainly a Hib, good ol times.

Had an internship at an IT company. Hole company was playing Daoc. Their constant talks about the realms and RvR was amazing and sucked me in.
Hope GMs are fine with what they have stated, that they are fine with just 80 people (300ppl was Trishin Statement long time ago) playing the game under their vision.
Its important to leave this server running doesn't matter how low the numbers will be. The other servers can fail but Uthgard still will be there, thats Uthgards only chance.

Edit 19/09/21: Well Uthgards chance has come.

Back when the highest level on the Percival server was low 40s and the place to be was crafting in Gna Faste. I kited a level 50 jotun from Vanern Swamp into Gna Faste. Dozens of mids died to the jotun. That's when I *really* got into it!

I was looking forward to it well before it came out.

I remember on Sept. 11, 2001, I logged into a DAoC anticipation forum before work. I read a post that only said "Damn Terrorists". Nothing else. So I turned on the TV and saw the second tower go down.

"How did you get into Dark age?"

Randomly walked pass someone at an internet cafe who was playing Daoc (anno 2002 ish). Ended up sitting down next to the dude for a good 3 hours looking at him play, chatting with him and looking at this amazing world he was playing in.

Back then I could only play in the weekends, so never got anywhere on live servers but always had Daoc close in my heart and memory, so when I randomly saw Kungen livestream "blue sunday" on twitch, i made up my mind to come on Uthgard2 and check out this game I never had a chance to fully explore and enjoy. 1 year on Uthgard2 gave me the chance to catch some of the good times, some of you others enjoyed on Live servers over the years, and I am truely greatful for that!

Was in April 2002, in the Army, someone played DAoC, and after a week me played too. Until 2005, then 2006 joined Uthgard and kept sticking around more or less active.

I started playing the game back when it was beta with a guy who worked with me *Wyvern * on the percival server.

After the release I went out bought the game and then ended up rolling alb only to find out he was playing Hib so I had to reroll back to Hib. Stay on Percival for a long time playing All realms. Then moved to the classic servers also played Guin and Nimue.

Only really played on the RP servers due to the names being so stupid. Also we had the best community.
