I have loved this game for many years, started on Live then moved to Uthgard. I am now finally starting to become demoralised by the population balance and being a Hibby through and through its now impossible to compete against mids. We try to have some fun in RVR, take some keeps maybe get DF for a few seconds but for what???? Within two seconds were either wiped or Mids take everything back.

Ill keep perservering but can feel the need soon to quit , not because i want to but its finally becoming so imbalanced there is on chance in doing anything. Spend hours getting RVR group together to only get wiped or all hard work taking keeps have them taken back in hours.......

I am preying its just that all the hibbies are on vacation........ If not something needs to be done to the game to get people back. For me i would love Keep Guard kill quests for RPS and keep taking for RPS more encouragement to get people in the frontier again. Its the PVP/ RVR that needs more encouragement XP grinding well i dnt mind soloing if i have to if i know end game RVR is busy.

Not expecting responses just feel i need to get something of my chest LOL......... If something not done quick to stop one realm dominating and more to encourage RVR and get more players back the server will die . Will be a real shame

RvR is unbalanced at times, just how it is

Turn Uthgard into a PvP ruleset like Camlann and Mordred then there will be no realm imbalance. Might actually make Uthgard more fun place to be. I'm guessing the population would rocket back up but guessing this is just another day dream that will never happen

Same here, hoping it would rocket back up too....Even another 100 or so would be all it needs to be more lively and a bit more balanced at present hib so low hard to do anything.

Hence some RPS quests like old Uthgard had would help me pass the time, already have 5 lvl 50s dnt want to level another. But RPS quests would add more reason to play my 50s, get some RPS by venturing into frontier to quest, maybe find other realmers doing the same - bingo some RVR action. Spending 2 hours trying to get an RVR group together and still not achieving it, so take keeps with a few of us only to loose it or be cannon fodder for FG of mids is all i seem to do LOL.. Need something else to occupy my 50s time, but if got RPS from keep takes more may join group to take keeps as well.

Maybe make DF permanently open to all realms so we can go in and kill enemies lol, but those who do not have DF when entering can spawn anywhere in DF maybe (Oh i dnt know i am just rambling now haha) not really sure what is needed but something is to entice more back.

Things are never the same and there is no point in believing we'll have a stable population server wide all year long. Even during uthgard1 times, summer population was always low and well dynamic constantly changed, relics always changed hands and some realms were more dominant than others. Funnily enough, the best groups always went to the underpopulated realm or the one that didn't have relics so they can get more inc. I feel that the player kill tasks would be a decent feature, they really did help create some action on uthgard1. It is what it is, with the wipe we lost a lot of reliable and stable people who had their chars and logged a few times a week or played a few months a year, but they always came back. Now we have what we have, an impatient population panicking and crying on forum after 2 wipes in the frontiers and by the looks of it, many of them would actually want a keep take simulator server, rather than DAOC. Many of them still live in 2001. too it seems . I advise patience and well, if you feel like you're getting wiped too hard due to inability to build groups, focus on your solo chars and farm some cash for the winter. I'm sure dynamic will eventually change and even though Mid might always be a bit more populated than other realms, there will be competition.

well, yesterday hibs just dominated with a zerg of 60+.
I got everyone on in mid together but we stood no chance.
Today it was quite a give and take... I had a lot of fun today, even though we lost several fights. Keep it up! Some 8vs8 would be nice apart from just the zerg fights, but that will evolve by itself. Give it some more time and we will be fine again, 'till the next summer at least

The chance brought some of hard core mid players to stay on the server whilst many other from other realms went to look for different games. The unbalance is only apparent, give it time, summer is almost over here in Europe and server will pick up. We already saw some alb groups coming out to 8v8 and now that hibs have 3 power relics some more will come and this of today will only be a lost memory.

haven't seen a SINGLE hib nor a 8man hib in rvr whole evening that is really getting out of hand

well, EU primetime hib is very active... or I just dreamed about getting zerged by ~40 hibs yesterday several times

I see great alb rvr with 3 realms last week with fantastic battles around DC, so lets see the next ^^ (unfortunately Romu cant be at work every night, he plays sometimes his reroll to take breath away ^^)

And don't care about keeps its just an illusion of domination from frustrated insomniac people who cant keep DC or Bled more few hours^^, and its good for RP of our small characters take them back thx ^^

Had fun on clericlast two evenings online, Even after losing vs higher numbers, rr, bad inc , bad play or what ever reason.

Just want more of it. Nothing is worse than running in a empty zone.

Edit: also wanna add that i look forward to rp bonus in emain again. Cant say the bonus for alb and Mid have been equal successful

Need the bonus boosted to encourage people to go to these places more. Just an idea!
