this could be a bad idea having a pvp event and allowing any player from any realm to enter any other realm. you will get ALOT of players running toons into enemy zones and loging them off so they can log them in at a later time after event is over and killign everyone they can find. would be highly unfair or fun for lower level players who would constantly be getting grey ganked by other players who con purple to them.
within the 2 or 3 days i have been playing here already, i have been ganked in DF by players that are at least 20-30 levels higher then me several times.

This could easily be avoided by a script that checks player location in the DB after that event. (Maybe even with some kind of punishment for such unfair behaviour!)

Well, that's the risk when levelling in an RvR area. You get some advantages (rather short way to get to, seal drops, mob for practically any level in one location) but they don't come for free! As it has been stated several times in other places: If you don't want to be killed during levelling then stick to your safe home zones. That's what these zones and mobs are there for. (We didn't invest all of our time to just put them in for fun!)
Happy hunting!

I totaly understand that because I am used to that kinda stuff. I played live off and on from Release untill LOTM (Quit just before it went live). I'm just saying that if there was a PVP event allowing other players to enter your realm or allowing players from your own realm to kill you, you will encounter alot of players being killed by much higher level players. Allowing players to be killed by enemy players when they are in a Non-PVP area would be a discouragement to those players being killed. Perhaps one reason why this server has a high population is because it is based off classic daoc and not more like a Mordred server (live PVP server). If players were constantly being killed by higher level players in a PVP enviroment, that would possibly create a negitive effect on the server since that is not why most players joined the server. they joined for a superior server running RVR not PVP.
I know it would only be a one day event, but in that one day, many players could become frustrated and stop playing because of all the higher level players on the server killing them over and over when they just want to level.
Gotta remember, dieing in a RVR zone such as BG's, Frontiers, and DF are the players choice to enter those zones with the risk of being killed. Dieing in a PVE zone is MUCH different as they do not have a choice of being in the zone. They do not have a choice weither or not they can be killed. I the log on they have the chance to die no matter what they do or where they go.
