Really I dunno what to say. I fear the tons of bug that can come out from this changes, bugs that, as someone wrote, can't be tested on live anymore.
If now there are a lot of important bugs that are not fixed, or considered on a lower priority by the staff (i wonder which are the higher priority, maybe they are working on these change since a lot of time), what can happen after?

I think for stealthers old RA is a disaster: only NS with viper, no mos for archers, bah. Truesight every 30 min is just another thing that will boost stealther's to group and use it every 5 minutes and kill all the enemy stealthers at the walls. I like to solo with my solo char, so this is not great for me.
However i can learn to play with it, but if it's no fun... well, bb to my hunter.


For group RvR probably is a good news, but again we have to see.


BG changes are craps. Just now you are a pussy as a 4L in Emain, just imagine as a 2L.

- WS
- damage on some char clearly bugged (rangers, zerks, skald, mercs ...)
- dps of cleric spear/polearm/staff/hunter spear

Dont forget bolts dont working/dmg (on any realm) , i hope they fix it before implement the area bolt on wizz cause if the damage are gimp like normal bolts...

my 2 cents:

- I really like the idea of Old RAs :) - those "omg 30 min RAs" whiners don't see that this system is the same for every1...the enemy has just the same 30 min timer as well..also you could usemore passive RAs instead...

- I hope the Market Explorer will come soon...can't wait to see the prices for drops and craftings dropping so casual players can afford them as well...

- better XP-Spots and/or bonusses in OF will be great and enrich the overall rvr experience (solo players trying to gank some 40ish leveling groups and stuff)

- new patch limit sounds find to me, though I'd love to see some exact facts like which style-library was used then, which spells etc. etc.

- I personally don't like the BG-setup planned...why not make BGs like not with ~7 Level per BG but more widespread? Like 15-20, 21-28, 29-36, 37-44 or something...maybe even 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44 (which would lead to "emptier" BGs though)...end rvr will still start at lower levels (45+) and thus be more lively and have more players than now, but still BGs will be an option to level until end rvr (which would not be possible with the setup aimed at)

- several questions arise from the changes:

- will special abilities like tireless, prevent flight or stoicism still be given "automatically" to tanks?
- will bugs, which existed with the old RAs and never got fixed (but got replaced by NF RAs) be fixed? Don't have an example right now, but I think there have been several RAs which were rather buggy :)

Are you serious? What is the 1 single reason people make a Merc/Zerk/BM over say an Arms/Warrior/Hero? Without Charge, they are just a less HP version of the main tanks. But I am guessing you play one of the main tanks right? Or an already OP Minstrel?


I know a RR10 merc that doesnt use charge.

Yes, because they did such a brilliant job with patch limit 1.80 for... what's it been now, 5 years? More? It's been such a timeless and flawless experience, I simply can't wait to see what it's gonna be like now when we can't test any RA related bug.

Btw, Uthgard isn't Classic. It's CUSTOM. And in a sweet, sweet twist of irony, by catering to you Classictards it's becoming even more custom then ever, simply by the BG removal, not to mention any other "needed fix" that's gonna come.

by the way: zerker still get charge, even for free. But it is just speed 3 and no cc immunities. :wink:

melee dps get PF, melee speed increase, cheaper det, nothing big else to spent points in than dmg RA's... you will still get pwned by the light tank classes, maybe even more easily.
As you have no chance to run from them and they will deal more dmg. They loose burst dmg 'cause they can be mezzed/rooted in the beginning of the fight. But with det 5, and immunities afterwards they will be even stronger.

it is not the light tank classes that can skill det i am worried about with the old RA's :wink:

who cares if they do damage if they can actually be CC'd before they are hitting you, it just means we can actually kite normally

dunno exactly, but if i remember correct it was also called charge.
It was no RA but a basic skill a zerker got at lvl (now i really have to shoot in the dark) 30, or 40 (?).
I never played zerker... so i can only say what others told me.
It was 15 or 30 (?) sec uninterrutable speed 3 (meaning speed did not break from dmg and was still up after beeing rooted, if root fadet first) without any immunities.

edit: but it was gone as soon as the zerker hit a target.

every info given here high speculative, but glimli knows the exact things for sure :wink:

hmm

i remember a *charge* but not sure if it was uninterrupted and not being able to be cc'd is what makes the current charge so strong, not the speed :grin:

but its another one of these abilities from years ago that there is little info about.. lets see what the staff comes up with ;)

it gave definatly no cc immunity, so the zerkers could be rooted and mezzed.
But if demezzed or out of root, 'cause of taking damage, the speed was still up... at least i guess.
