Nice changes, especially with the /lfg channel. Is good work. Definitely starting to go in right direction--hope it continues.

Personally, I don't think it's about the number of characters that get to 50 (8000), as much as it's about how many of those people and chars actually play and engage in RvR related things like keep takes, roam, relic, BGs, raid, etc during different time zones. I had a blast on Uth 1.0 with 350 people on, and I've seen Uth 2.0 look like a ghost town at 950. NA primetime action is pretty bad for small man and BG. 8000 lvl50 characters is awesome, but it's just a statistic (kind of like how the stinky Broadsword site says "1.5 million unique accounts"). It doesn't account for 50s who've quit, necro/chanter/BD farm bots, and people who have multiple 50s. Hopefully the new changes help make NA better, I just worry it's not enough yet.

I think number of 50s is a poor metric. It appears to have increased linearly as the population as gone down. What does that mean?

The same players are making 50s over and over.

Good. And loving how the "Slippery Slope" brigade guys from Beta are mysteriously absent, or magically supportive of these "CUSTOM CHANGES" to the game.

I'm one of those slippery slope guys. I think it would destroy the server if the devs were to listen to all player requests for change and turn the game into DAoC lite. At the same time, some changes were needed to allow more people to enjoy playing the game. This game NEEDS players or it's no fun. Personally, I would have liked to see more focus on getting SI into the game and THEN consider changes BUT the population was declining and some changes were needed NOW.

IMO, the devs have carefully considered which changes are for the good of the game and have made a few changes but only in areas that won't damage the game in the long term. I /salute them!

From this 8000 i have 3x 50 and only join with 1 RVR sometimes.

Maybe alot hitting lvl50 and totally burned out for a while. :D

DF does not get the 10% bonus. DF access is very restricted, so more or less safe, while OF dungeons are accessable by all realms 24/7.
The zone bonus applies as said in news to OF itself, OF dungeons and Battlegrounds.
