As the RA description says it increases the chance to hit with both weapons at the same time, not the chance to hit more than once with one weapon.

- I personally don't like the BG-setup planned...why not make BGs like not with ~7 Level per BG but more widespread? Like 15-20, 21-28, 29-36, 37-44 or something...maybe even 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44 (which would lead to "emptier" BGs though)...end rvr will still start at lower levels (45+) and thus be more lively and have more players than now, but still BGs will be an option to level until end rvr (which would not be possible with the setup aimed at)

.................

I see it your way..in my opinion 3 battlegrounds are enough. Few players for to many bgs.

There wont be fewer players for the BGs. There will be more as we can start at level 15. Players will quickly migrate thru these BGs. You cant park in a BG without the /RP OFF ability.

Well, as Uthgard is a freeshard-server and the staff only contains people, who spend their pastime to realize FOR FREE, what people had to pay much money before, you all should be happy about the staffs work.

Iam truly not one of the experienced players here and therefore don't really know the differences between OR and NR and what kind of RA there were and what Ill be missing, when I have been addicted to daoc for only 6 month now---but what I exactly know is, that there will be always peeps, who sit on their butts, doing nothing but complain...and there will be fortunately always the ones making efforts without personal gains and aims, but having fun providing us mmorpgs-freaks with a good game, which would have died without them yet :)

thx for your work, your efforts and patience

Ah well, I have mixed feelings about this I admit.
First of all take my Opinion with a grain of salt. I am a Hero, and as such I will profit or atleast not really be hurt by this change. Sure I will miss my dashing defense, but all in all for my Character I don't see many problems coming towards me.

About the RvR in general, I like what I think this will bring:
- You need to decide when to use what active Realm Ability, and this choice is a tough one.
- The CC will play a huge role in RvR.
- Positioning also will become alot more important.

That all in all is a good thing, but I agree it will make daoc rough, even brutal from time to time.
People hate to feel helpless, and strong cc and high ability timers
are a tough thing to take in.
I see that many People will not like it, on the other Hand this is what DAoC
did different then all those other MMO's that listened to their Playerbase and went just the opposite direction - toward weak CC, fast Pace, and easy to enjoy- RvR.
I personally like this rough environment, but that for sure is not everyones
cup of Tea, and I respect that.

As I said, these changes won't hurt my Classchoice much -
but I still see that there are Classes that will be hurt more then others.
This especially goes out to all hybrids, and I seriously pity you.
Wether Tank or Caster setups will flourish time will tell, I think there is Room for all kinds of optimised setups aslong as the Players are strong enough to back it up with skill.
But you Hybrids are in for a rough Ride, even more then already.
It's just stating the obvious.

About the OF- Dungeon: Everyone loved it, I do too.
About the new BG's : That's a tough Change, and I am not certain if it will prove to be a good choice. But I guess Time will tell,
and one can all but hope this statement :

"In return for such a drastic change we are currently working on an additional concept to ensure a more fast and pacing RvR-experience within the frontiers, so that prior pure battleground players may enjoy their new homelands."

will prove to be true. I thought about it for some Time, and no Matter how
hard I try, I just don't see how you could possibly achieve that - very high - Goal.
But if you reach that ! I take my Hat of to you, the Staff.

All in all, I wonder how it will be, I salute you for this Freeshard, and all the Work you are putting in this.

Thank you.

This update is bringing me back to Uth. Have been waiting for a long time! Y'all might see the Sinister guild again, as we were all frustrated with issues addressed in this patch. :]

Go dev's! <3 :D

Well i knew this was comming, but i have a few questions for Uthgard Staff:

Does this mean Archers are not going to see any fixes in the forseeable future? Each of these issues that have been detailed and presented to you prevent all 3 archer classes from playing as was originally intended.Which brings me to my second question as it pertains to the statement you made to the entire community to focus on what got the highest votes. That was Completion of the classes (42%)

By all known accounts that would include the incomplete ARCHER class type.

Im a bit confused as you state that you are going to focus on class completion and then a little over a month later you change it to old realm abilities without achieving class completion. Where is your focus?

I can understand your frustration and confusion about our workflow, however you have to remember who is required to do the different things.

  1. Completion of the classes (42%)
  2. Clarification about the future realm abilities and patch level (21%)
  3. Making the frontiers more interesting (stronger keeps, more levelspots, ...) (16%)

1. Developer
2. Whole team
3. Mostly GMs

So just because number 2 and 3 is being worked on, it doesn't mean that number 1 is forgotten.

Believe me when I say that completion of classes is not forgotten :)
