People cried about that ALL THE TIME, do you have Alzheimers? You don't have to take my word for it, just use the goddamned Internet. Both VN boards and Catacombs and every other major DAoC site still has archives from that period. The RvR system was the largest single source of discontent within the DAoC community back then, the only thing that came even close were whines about Mid (pre-nerf LA etc). |

All kind,and don't QQ about it. my merc will lose charge,my cabby will lose her actual OP juggernaut+RA5L combo on the other hand my arms will get a great up with deter 5 for 20pts, purge for 4pts,barricade3 for 10pts and my minst got the mighty old SoS. Old RA balance the classes that actually aren't.purge 3+deter on all tanks+charge killed the CCers here.Deter on all tanks killed the heavy tanks compare to hybrids because of their utility. And don't talk about stoicism on heavy tanks: deter5+stoicism=80%=34 pts old det. 5=75% =20pts |

archery demage is very low, spear demage is broken, growrate of spear are lower then normal, pet it's bugged and deal 15 dmg, if i attack with my pet an enemy i dont reduce his evade/block/parry chance....
now i dont have mos then the only targhet i can kill in solo (inf and ns) are near impossible to kill... what i must do with my 5l4 hunter ? ?_? |

(this isn't just a reply to your quote, rather a reply to all those ppl that think this will be the change that will take us to valhalla) omg... will ppl read over the issues... OLD RA no custom changes is more of an EASY MODE I WIN change then anything currently in place. YES, READ, UNDERSTAND, it is. I allready said i agree with the of and bg changes, the patch and ra changes on the other hand are COMPLETELY BS. Like many have said before, there is a reason they were changed, same goes for the maps. I played it, i didn't like it, even your so called OP SOS minstrel ability was so good that minstrel didn't get any groups. IT SUCKS! |

Hmm as a Hib on OF Ra´s i can say many ppl start crying when the first hib Caster SG´s appear on the battlefield
If they play good together its gets ****** hard to get them down with only one group *gg* ~. Wir sind alles Engel mit nur einem Flügel und müssen uns umarmen um fliegen zu können .~

Who said the community voted on something? There never was any open voting poll on anything. Staff posted a message for everyone to send them email, so they could see what is most wanted. It doesnt mean that the majority did want old RA and 1.69, it only means that the staff told you so. Until it is open public voting poll, these voting results are made up by the staff to match their need not to fix bugs they cant fix imo. Make the open public poll, uncontrollable by the staff and have everyone vote, then we might see these changes as good; else its a fake. Yet its hard to get everyone to vote, since not all visit the forums, not all play every day; therefore not everyone will vote, and the poll results will still rely on the opinnion of those who visit the forums anyway. Will PK for food.

People did rvr because they didn't have a choice back then. The game was new, exciting and they didn't know what they were missing. The game was improving vastly with time (didn't stop with 1.69 nor 1.80). Why go back from better to worse is what I cannot understand.
