Don't make the community suffer for things that you guys have messed up, you gave powerful items to the players, they built all their templates around them and now they get screwed just because they used what the staff offered to them.

any comment from the GMs about the stuff i posted on page 1 ? 3l0 cap will probably kill end RvR with New Ra's still being around. Or how are they supposed to achieve something in RvR with 20 ra points available ?

Some time ago, Abydos had defended one of many changes the playerbase found unacceptable by saying that the people on the forum that hate those changes represent only a small minority of people, and that the majority of people (who do not post) are generally in favor of it. Now obviously this is not a verbatim quote, but that was the spirit of it.

I am one such player who reads the forums, but never posts. And though I generally find most of the proposed changes unsatisfactory, (and complain to my friends) I generally accept the changes and get over it.

I do not like this change. Nayeh loves it, as he loves all these changes (I seriously imagine him with pompoms and anime face every time he rushes to defend and praise the admins for everything they do). Yeah, Nayeh sure loves this one too. Why shouldn't he? There might be even more RPs from defenseless RR3s forced out into RVR alone.

GMs, you forget something. This server doesn't have 1,000 ACTIVE players daily (a fact you in your delusion try to argue against Abydos) because of what you guys have done.

There is no RVR zerg. There's no reason for these RR3s to go out and get farmed by players like Nayeh and the like. Hard enough at RR4. So, why make it worse?

You GMs routinely say (sometimes flat out) that you do not care for our input. You're going to make the server you want, and you do not care about our opinions on the matter. Fine. So close the server to all the players and make the server the way you want it without complaint. But if you actually want players, you have to care about how we feel at some point, because if you don't, people will stop playing (again take notice of the peak number of players, its taken a hit from its peak of 1,000+).

I've stayed for two reasons. 1) I have a friend who is quite dear to me that I met here 2) there isn't a better server to go to. But its getting to the point where these reasons may not be strong enough reason to stay. I can communicate with my friend another way, and I can just *not* play this game.

But what makes me the angriest is not that you GMs do a lot of these changes. Its Abydos repeatedly telling players he doesn't care how they feel. I find him crass, disrespectful, dismissive, and really quite rude.

I have tried to state my grievances in as calm and polite as possible - given the circumstances and emotion about this - but I concede I may have failed. If I seem undeservedly rude, or unfair in my assessments, then please accept my apologies.

This is my one and only post. I've taken steps to hide my true IP. It should trace somewhere to London England and not to my actual IP to protect myself from reprisal. Yes, I'm paranoid.

People confue easy mode with make it a bit easy. Uthgard never was easy mode server, but now will be really hard mode server. Some years ago we had higher drop rates, repop timers and was hard farm items. Only taj items farm was easy.
Developers and GMs should understand that this is year 2013 and not 2001. No one have hours and hours free time for farm items and money. 12 years ago most of us was 18 years old guys, now we have job family... I know you want a server like a real one but this is imposible now, or you never will have good population in pve and rvr.
Im agree with changes to old ras, SI, all fixes... but do it with brain (i dont want offense), respect your old players and respect newcomers too.

What's the logic between "going back" to old frontier bg's and then adding an additional one? I fail to see any reasoning behind this and it doesn't make sense. Could someone give an explanation for this?

It won't be good for RvR that's for sure, unless you're already high realm rank.

Having said that, Herald will generate a lot more hits though.

For me the only RvR I really enjoy here is the bg's, especially Thidranki. For a number of reasons (level playingfield when it comes to ra's, for example), which have bin discussed to death.

Edit: Also I can scrap the idea for the NS that i'm rolling, which is on autotrain. Level to 48 and have some fun in Thidranki. Before I go out in the real world and face those high rr enemies.

Somehow taking 10+ min of time to run to emain on a rr2 NS doesnt sound like fun.

But it was no accident now was it? Players are real life people you know (?) and they spend countless of hours into playing and "farming" items. Also you just compaired this with an example from the banking system. The most crooked system known in existance. Somehow that makes sense.

lol Juna you can´t be serious, your composition is just dumb. So you want to tell us your correct a "problem" with Tajendi?

It´s a custom Zone selfmade and implemented for years and even tho i agree with all recent changes (except 25% RPS while dead and additional Battleground) that is just bullshit.

If u want to stop all the customizaton then,hmm how would Blue say: Do it once but do it right.

Stop add other custome features and either go full livelike 1.69 or stay with custom changes we still have(like tajendi items, higher RR CAP, RvR Missions etc.) everything else is just not fair and makes no sense.

Trololololol, are you serious? You "ACCIDENTALLY" implemented a zone, kept it here for years and now one day you woke up and you realized it was an accident xD? I understand what you are trying to say but it's a bad comparison xD.

Rules were not that strict before and a lot of tolerance was given which got us into trouble. Tajendi was only tolerated by me to be honest, it was not wished for or even planned to have.
Why we kept it for years? Because we didn't know how to properly switch it off. With stricter classic ruleset the custom items from Tajendi get incompatible with the setting we target so the first step is to make Taj inaccessable and tone the items down.

you know what? i play here since 3 years and not one of my chars is 50. Not one of my chars has an item dropped by a Boss mob or dropped in Tajendi. Not one of my chars is higher then 3l2.

I play 99% of the time solo and so, every lvl up i achieved was a lot of work. i died more then i can count in the battlegrounds, because of having not the best items, because of being not the best skilled player and so on.

But thats no problem for me... because i like DAoC for not being easy. I am proud of every lvl i have achieved with every char i have. I am proud of every RR i have achieved with every char.

That does not mean, that i like every single decision, GMs make. Also it does not mean, that i like every single sentence coming from a GMs brain. Sometimes there are decisions made and i think: "Damn, i would have liked it more if...". Sometimes they talk to us players in a way i think of, "well, this could be communicated a little bit better".

But Uthgard and the GMs do not exist to make especially me happy. It is a gift... or call it an offer, they make to all of us. But this Baby does not belong to us... it is still their Baby and will be it for ever. It is their right to do with it, what ever they want.

So my point is: Playing here is an every day decision, if you like that Baby or if you dont like it. If you like it... fine... but if you dont like it, you always have the option to go.

Both is ok... playing here or leave it. But what is not ok is, that so many People are without any thankfullness for a gift they receive since years... a gift made with many tears and sweat, a gift only living becauso of so much manpower invested.

My personal fear is, that all this destructive People one day will bring Blue to a point, where he decides to stop that project... where he just gives up. i often wondered that he is not at this point allready. But i hope and i think, that he is wise enough to see, that all these whiners here are only the (loud) top of the iceberg... and that most Players (the ones you dont hear sadly) are satisfied and thankfull... just without communicating this.
