As far as the population "cap" I am not sure if it will be a problem. I will say about Genesis or any other server, when it gets below 500 or so I feel like it is literally not worth playing on.

Population is EVERYTHING in daoc.

Players can greatly contribute to a server if you let them.

Uthgard, still the best server. Thanks, Devs.

I completely disagree, yes having population is nice. However I would rather have less people and have them be good and decent people vs a lot of people who are jerks.

Population is NOT everything.

Err what? You just lost me.. who was talking about being jerks or not being jerks? He was just commenting on a population level in general for a daoc server. The point you trying to make is absolutely irrelevant.

What he was saying is that he would rather have a smaller population full of nice people than a big population full of jerks. Reading is fundamental.

It gets too boring if you have a small server full of nice people. What is there to do? Hold hands and sing kumbaya together? I would rather have a server with a large population and I will take my chances in finding the right group of people to hang out with.

I'm with you. If some people are jerk-offs, ill just find good people to group with and not worry about the others. Population is key to the health of the game, PvE and PvP!

So I take it that playing DAoC will be like 1.0? Download the full version of DAoC and then install the .dll file to dumb down the version???

How's the anti-hack system/cheat detection? Currently DaoC Live is dwindling in population and is rampant with Radar and with the same people using it for upwards of months it doesn't seem like it'll go away.

I think if you can capitalize on your system it would turn a lot of "Live" players to Uthgard for simply a cheat-free zone.

XD

Should be 179 delve since the target is 1.65

I can't comment on invig duration though.

I can guarantee you that the duration of the invigoration potions will be 2 minutes as they were at 1.65. Potion timers were increased to 10 minutes in 1.85... Thus on relaunch the timers will be as they were at 1.65 patch level.

Please find below the link to 1.85 patch notes talking about the increase:

I'm almost 100% certain they had the anti-radar figured out on Uthgard. I remember what it was like to get radared on live on my scout and that never happened once in all my time soloing on uth. And I was even more hated on my minstrel than I was on my scout!

Do you have any idea how many hours I spent alt tabbed afk in rvr zones waiting for RAs to come back up?

A LOT. :D

...and every time I came back, no one had radared me.
