First of all Most people that have been playing since day 1 (including myself) have just about cap temp. So we all know it's possible to build a template for any class and have close to or capped stats/skills. So whether it takes 1 months or 6 months for someone to get a good temp, the point is it's possible. It's true at first many people will have DF gear or semi temp gear(capped stats/melee resists) so that they can PvE and eventually build a good temp but endgame is not DF gear.... Like I have said before testing with such gear is pointless especially now that there are veteran players who have an advantage.

I would have put in epic gear with 1 ring with all capped stats/hp and a cloak with all capped resists+skills, Done. Now everyone is at an even field and can test the full extent of their character. I'm sorry but the difference between DF gear and crafted is like night and day. Uthgard made an amazing server, but they are clueless..

I've been trying to make some of these same points in other threads. I hope they listen and take more stock/pride in their testers and realize we both want the same thing.

tested a bit on the weekend and got farmed most of the time against full sced guild groups but that moments these guildgrps sitting down cuz they had some i50 stealther adds were just priceless.

And this is the problem... they want keep takes tested... relics tested... high level encounters tested..... but your all running in circles in emain and wondering why in your DF free gear your getting raped by players who have invested the time to make full sets of gear and have been playing together.

This game isnt about 8 man only play... alot of other stuff going on. And to be honest 8 man is the selfish style of play because you are doing nothing for your realm. And if that is all you want to do.. why are you not on a 8 man free shard?

From the point of view of one of those 8man players, I can assure that this is not the case as far as the "setup" or development of the server is concerned. The dev team is definitely not "pro 8man", they are simple not "pro "anything other than their goals which they largely set themselves. The only people stubborn enough to suck it up and try to enjoy the game (which is obviously a subjective thing and different for each person) just so happen to be the 8man groups. Casual players would need some provisions be made from the devs, like (and I have rambled on about this for years) shorter travel/down times- if only to compensate for the lack of players in relation to the size and scope of the game. Not gonna happen though.

This is an 8 man shard. Otherwise they would give some thought to new or casual players. You should see the final victory of the l337 8 man elite here and the cricket sounds where the the other player styles exist on a normal server.

Say it again... me and my wife are casual.. not 8 mans and we love this server. And we have found a group of players who want to take keeps go for relics and not 8 man.

I dont get the this is a 8 man server thing at all. If it was they would have unlimited range buffs and buff bots.

How do you claim to be casual when between you and your wife you have spent many many hours on this server. Even playing on your lunch break... Very casual.

Yeah it is. Lunch breaks are a great time to get some relaxation playing a game after a morning of all the crap I deal with.

I am casual because I dont need a perfect group to play. I dont talk down to certain classes or specs. We play to have fun. That is why I defend not making changes that unbalance the game even when it really wont hurt me like the stacking potions. I could abuse that all day long. But I can see how that is a game breaking change.

also casual because there are times I have to not play because of work or family. So I will be gone like last week and the prior week work and life stopped me from playing so I cannot just set a time to play everyday in a set group or the like.

Just put that guy on ignore like everyone else. He's upset he can't have his cake and eat it too.

What cake? I am not asking for free stuff or changes to help my playstyle? I am having great fun when I can play. So your statement makes no sense.

I set goals and get tons of things done all week at work.... when I play this game its for fun. So I have achieved what I want when I play a game... have fun. So to me I have achieved alot when I play. Sad you think you have to work at a game to have fun when its a game and the purpose is to just have fun.

We're all glad you're having fun in the beta, setting your own goals that have nothing to do with anything anyone else is trying to accomplish.
