Account security

We had a series of account hacking and deleting during the past weeks caused by a leaked database of an instant 50 freeshard that went down a while ago. Unfortunately many of Uthgard's players who played on that server as well, used the same login data on both servers.
We received the file and directly checked for matches in our database. Over 1000 accounts from that database existed with the same login name and password on Uthgard. Therefore we have changed the passwords of all accounts that were in danger of getting hijacked (or even deleted) as well to prevent any more damage.
If you are affected by this action and you suddenly can't log in your account anymore, please use the account recovery form to get your account back.

If you play on other servers, please don't use the same login data!


Account recovery

Due to many accounts hacks caused by the leak of the account database of that server, we have received a huge wave of account recovery requests. Therefore currently we are not able to solve them in the regular time. Please stay patient, we are working on the tickets.


Old realmabilities

We are still working on the old realm abilities and have already finished a lot of them. However there is a lot of work to be done in order to complete them and the high temperatures and account security issues are hindering the completion. We will inform you when there are news.

Nice news, good to know that you are on this Account-hacking. Nice work with the recovery.

And good to hear that Old RAs will come faster than expected.

Keep your work up Staff! And give mor signs that you're still alive.

It also would help if you could check your email system here on uthgard.
I still cant change my password because no Email (token) is send to the registred email address.

Also it is sometimes just not possible do register an email address because a token is never send/received.

Is it possible to use the same email address on diffrent accounts or is that causing problems - false positiv message on the server, and no email token is send?

Have you checked your Spam-Folders?

Yes, it is possible to register different accounts on the same Email-Addy

Sure, first thing to do is check typo, spam folder, filters.
As I dont have access to the mail system of hotmail, I cant check log files.

Curious thing is that I got 2 token at that address - wich became invalid because I forgot to check email - since than no token email was ever received.
It was registered manually by a GM. Problem is, that I cant change my password because I still dont get any email.

Besides hotmail is very spam friendly and deliveres always at least into the spam folder.
Maybe a outgoing blacklist on the uthgard system / provider?

I was wondering if you were customizing some of those old realm abilities with timers, effects, etc and possibly keeping some of the new realm abilities like mastery of stealth?

or maybe... uhm let's say keep soldiers barricade for warriors? ... not that i would be interested in that, but just a question?

i think 1000+ accounts are a lot of additional work beside the daily duties of the staff/GM's.

usually you shouldn't ignore staff's multiple warnings about password security.

Hey Staff,
how is the work on old RA's going on? You have 50% of them already finished?
And will we see a complete list of the changes that were done in the version downgrade from 1.80 to 1.69?
