I have seen that the servers, recently, tends to crash when there are much people connected
Could be this due to an overcharge of players?

No according to staff the hardware can take much more than 500 clients connected at once, the cap was set at 500 (think it's been changed and increased now) because no one would ever have guessed that uthgard will be so populated... gz to staff
So doubt it's because a large amount of clients being connected..
Also I would like to add, that the server is being a bit laggy.. dunno if it's just me..
so is the server up now for sure? or under maintenance?

Yea I think the cap is 750 now so shouldn't be a problem. About the lag: havn't noticed it myself yet but heard some people complaining about it.

What about the provider?
Many providers calculate with peaks but don't like it if they have permanent load on boxes (until it's a big one who doesn't really care about 500kByte/s). So I've seen providers pulling the cable occasionally to repel customers who generate above-average costs.

Our provider is very honest. They would never limit us.
Stop speculating. The server just freezed. I mean completely freezed. Could be a driver problem or anything else. The HDD is still error free.

About the lag problem. Since like 4 weeks from now my connection hasnt been any good at all to uthgard. I have 100Mbit and live in sweden and havent had any problem with it earlier. Now days i always have yellow ping mostly and green just a short while sometimes but its even red a few times and yellow i think is nearly unplayable. I think its strange but it can be my ISP thats behind it.

I also experienced more lags in the past few weeks. In RvR i was used to this, and hadnt noticed at first, but since a few weeks it is also very laggy in PvE too. But then there are times again, when its nearly lagfree.
Hope someone finds the cause of these soon. I too heard more complaining about lags. I dont think that its client-based, cause the people who told me (and in my case) hadnt had those many and hard lags before, at least not this often.

The server itself cant be the cause of lags, server runs at about 30% CPU usage with 400 players online.
Our hoster had some problems with DOS attacks, that could be the problem.

I doubt that ddos attacks are my problem. My problem is always the same night to day. Sad cause i getting bored when it is like that. I havent played much lately cause of it.

I'm experiencing those lags too and I've never had problems connecting to Uthgard before. When it's laggy, it's laggy always (constant yellow lag'o'meter) during the whole playtime so the only thing you can do is /qtd or craft a bit. I think It's not a server load issue because it happens even with 100 players online.
I think it has something to do with the network route to the new hoster but I can't get an accurate /tracert result in order to make a diagnostic.

I recommend MTR for resolving routing issues.
