Hello Uthgard, I am currently in the process of a pro/con list on three Albion classes.. but I do not have the proper experience I believe to make a final informed decision.

I am stuck between Friar, Reaver, and Paladin.

I have played Paladin before, I enjoyed it as a solo class, good group utility, and even in RvR.. I just would outlive. But I enjoy dealing good damage as well, and from what I understand, Reaver does just that.

The reason I also was considering Friar is because I like playing the healer role, or rather, the off-heal/dps role.. considering just healing gets rather repetitive.. Friar seemed to suit my taste, but I realized that they are missing their Heal-over-time styles, which seem to be a rather large survivability factor of the class, whether it be in solo play or a group setting.

Sorry for rambling on, rather new here, which class of the three works best as it did on classic live here on uthgard?
Also, which would you consider, on a scale from 1-10 is most enjoyable to play, maybe a rating of solo play, group play, and rvr play on each class.

Lastly, any other things someone would care to add on, any tips, ideas, suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :D

Thanks in advance, CamBam

as the three classes you mentioned i can say that each fit on difrent scale on on difdrent part of game as rvr scale..

first we took paladin:

you have highes survivability as using endu heal chants shiled and plate armor on solo action but lack dps so might loose due to lackign dps on short amounts of time.

on duo trios or small goups you will shine couse you give guard endu resist and small amount of healing and stil lack dps..

on big scale groups(8v8) you are one of the MUSt classes in albion group setup couse only you can give endu and sometimes join assit train with aog able to guard and hard to die against an assist train.

second we took friar:

friar count sometihng between lighttank mediocre dps and light healer
but problme occures on the numbers.
against enemys 1-2 he can manage to survive couse he can unleash heavey dps in short amount of time in orther to get 1v1 and after fights or a smal brakes like 5 10 sec times hea can heal himself.
but against many openets he has no great defens like shiled guard and cant deal damge on area scale(other then rr5 ability)

on small groups friar is realy essential couse he can join dps or heal or even lure enemys tanks on him to get of other group members attention.

on big scale rvr filling a fria in group is.... hard couse he is not a good damge dealer nor can heal beter or can defend another group member(only good i they giving base bufs with nuking typ spell resisits(heat-cold-matter))

and as for reaver part:

they are less durable then paladin couse lacking endu chant with heal chant but nearly same ws with incredible style(levi) and lots inteurpt thingy like debufs dots.. they are good on 1v1-2

as small group part they still good as a guard bot and damge dealer if duo with a pala it is ahrd to beat them down(other then range killer)

for big group part they are good ass damge dealer but they are not a first choice(most people prefer merc over reaver couse of geting stoicism and charge and also dualwilding ahs mroe chance to penetrate the defens of enemy)

so it is up t you wihhc class and what kinda play you wana play

Thanks for the info! I decided to play a friar this time through, next choice will possible be merc, as I have never tried a pure melee.

Hope to see you in game, thanks for the quick reply :)
