My scout is lvl 16 atm. chain killing blue, only downtime is end.
When i kill yellow i take 20-25% damage. Spec: full shield, rest slash AT bow. The key is 500 Fletching (Cost 50g). Making best arrows and 99% qual bow. Percival Vogon (Hrafnin Flygur)

You have to take in mind that See Hidden is 8 points RA and most likely enemy Assassins won't spend points on it, due to the very small number of Stealth Archers! Also even if someone decide to spend the points, they will most likely do it after RR4. |

Very true. However, i still think scouts aren't very good if solo. If you get caught in melee you're done. Someone purges your slam, you're done. They will be good in stealther groups where others can take the brunt of the damage, but beyond that they're pretty squishy. Best bet if you're solo is to perch up somewhere high and leech half your RPs, then pray no one has see hidden. <Bushido>

This is pretty much the key. You MUST have a yellow/orn 99 qu bow and the best arrows otherwise you will be sitting a lot healing. I played a scout and ranger extensively through the beta. They are questionable in RvR, at least during the beta with DF gear. They can solo PvE "OK" when well equipped as all you are using endurance which replenishes faster than health or power. I recommend a high bow spec for PvE...the key to efficiency is getting the kill before you have to melee. You can be OK in RvR I suppose but you have to be very selective on targets...and be tactful in your sniper locations... and given the large number of low level players I suppose you can venture to the enemy frontier to prey on leveling targets well before hitting 50. Some say it is dirty pool but attacking someone while they are distracted by a mob it is just good strategy in my book. I won't attack Grays but all others are free game. My goal is to play a Ranger but I am just trying to get a little nest egg of gold from a farming class 1st before I start the painful journey...Can't bring myself to craft. |
