Even Necros could contribute here technically. With that many groups you don't even want an Ice Wizard you want ranged DD. You just tab nuke tab nuke tab nuke. And get a big hit on as many things as you can. Watch as your low levels fly.

Usually not the best XP if you are 45+ but it does pay to help lower levels. Can go from 5-30 in a few hours if done properly with a guild.

If you are a guild and bring 2-3 groups you can usually cap XP for everyone on the 63-65ish mobs if you know where they are and large spawns of them.

I played Albion the least of the 3 realms and it feels like the most introverted realm. When I get to Lyonesse, 90% of what I see is necromancers soloing or Cabalists pulling whole camps with AoE dots.

The problem is that we have is a bunch of classes that are really good at soloing and not many structured groups because those core classes for those groups are hard to come by. There's not enough tanks/paladins and not enough Wizards/ae classes for standard groups. Everyone seems to be either locked into a tunnel vision of leveling themselves or stuck in gimped groups of 8 pulling orange monsters. What kills Albion the most, I think, is the "meta" that dictates important PvE classes like paladins and wizards are gimp. What we end up with is hardly any PBAE groups and not enough paladins with end regen to justify melee groups.

Leveling in Alb has been pretty slow for me. I hit 17 on my ice wiz last night, but most players around that level were necros/cabbies/theurgies. I was able to *finally* get a group with a good pally and 2x cleric and sorc :/ but I was shocked that it happened.

People are making bg exp groups, but they are keeping it secret instead of opening it up to the alliance so they can try and race each other to frontier/temps and be the best 8 man or whatever illusions of grandeur they have.

You will need to wait for all the toxic players to quit. Albion is full of the red99 crew and 8 man elitists that think Albion has the best 8 man setup, but refuse to actually RvR until they are 100% templated. Even then you know they will farm grays leveling in frontiers before fighting any actual 8 man teams.

Same guys troll the starting guild chats with Trump nonsense, say bg exp is not a good idea when they don't even understand how it works, keeps/reics should be ignored, but GO GET DF FOR ME RIGHT MEOW, same guys saying paladins should not be used in RvR but demand you have one in a group or they won't kill a single mob.

Albion is cancer. All this competition for good leveling areas has turned people into vicious animals fighting over scraps.

After staying up late today I finally got a good spot in Lyonesse (pygmy goblins). All is fine for an hour and a half until 4 people log in right where my group was and proceeded to pull the entire camp of goblins. I seriously wouldn't have minded sharing the camp but these guys were obviously trying to push us out and were pulling monsters through my group and even threatened to appeal ME for putting DoT on their mobs (even though they had overwritten the DoT on half the mobs I was pulling).

I don't want to name names, it's just sad that people have become vicious like this. I often invite greens and blues in my group and have probably given out over a hundred levels to people for free but some people only care about themselves and it ruins the reputation of the realm.

After glancing over at the other Realm's forums; This is not an issue limited to Albion. Albion does have fewer adequate leveling spots and so I'm sure it is more of an issue here than anywhere else. However, to suggest that this kind of behavior is limited to Albion isn't true - This game was not meant to support this volume of players and is a negative consequence of launching without SI zones (Although I understand why). Over time things will flesh out, but the leveling zones from 30-50 are getting swamped right now.

Competitive leveling spots isn't an excuse to be dicks though. Like I said, I would have shared the camp if they asked. Instead they pull the entire camp (30+ goblins) and threaten to report if I take a small chunk of them. This is not the first time this has happened, these goblins are a spot of real contention (check those other locked threads).

I always wait for a spot to be clear before I take it yet there's at least one person every hour or so that comes in and tries to take it by force. Also, I'm never soloing, I always have at least 2 people leveling with me while a lot of these people stealing camps are higher level and solo.

-I can't speak for how the other realms act but at least they were doing those leveling events. I was just saying I've played a lot of Mid and Hib, Albion is the only one where I've had my quest mobs and leveling spots stolen on a regular basis.

Yeah by no means was my post justifying that kind of behavior - The queue certainly does not help because it makes everyone value their time a whole lot more since it takes forever to get into the game and people want to get the most done possible. We've had to take action in our Alliance against this kind of behavior fairly regularly and it is never fun to deal with.
