Couldn't they be potentially viable on a tank train with AF debuff?

- the important active RA don't work (Purge, MoC), so you need a demezzer
- abomination is a mob so it can be chainstunned und mezzed for full duration
- abomination can't be targeted in group window, so heal/demezz is hindered
- abomination swings after casts in melee range which creates a big delay (5s) on the next cast
- abomination gains alot of absorb via buffs, but this helps only vs melee. this also means that stat debuffs lower absorb.
- in some situations (keeps) LoS is an issue because both necro+pet need LoS to cast (with few exceptions).
- AF debuff is not instant, pet needs to cast it.
- etc.

also keep in mind, the Abomination (top pet) always cons blue to a level 50. I personally think since the pet IS the necromancer, it should at least con yellow.

Necro's are at a HUGE disadvantage over casters due to being blue con and taking massive damage each spell. Against melee, better but once again, a blue mob and able to be chain stunned etc. Without buffs the pet is very hard to keep up, especially with the seemingly HIGH rate of resists to spells.

I used to RvR on live years ago with my pet fully buffed and could easily handle multiple stealth classes at once, on Uth2 not so.

I've had surprising success on my necro with solo/smallmans. Shadowblades have stopped perfing me because they learned that they will never win. Biggest problem of the necro is mez on the pet and the inability to use endurance potions, however no one ever focuses the necromancer in RvR, so I am usually able to dish out tons of damage during the skirmishes.

The main things plagueing necro RvR is not the class itself, it's how necro pet mechanics work in this patch. When necros got their major RvR love they became absolute beasts.
