I've been wanting to get back into DAoC and have been leveling a Necro as the standard farming character, but I just can't bring myself to level it. I leveled at least 2-3 over the course of the live game and I really just want to play a main character and not really care about any others. I rolled a Mercenary and got started, found someone to duo with then found a group one night, but since I haven't been able to get past level 8 and soloing as a Merc with no gear is next to pulling teeth (even blue task mobs are a challenge).


My question is; how the hell do people find groups? I ask in the start guild chat, broadcast in the local area(s). I set my LFG and search the LFG options and even do /who searches looking for people around my level to group with. I find myself continuing to log in and trying to progress and looking for a group, only to log out frustrated that I can't find anyone to level with.


I would gladly continue to play and progress if I absolutely could but I'm not playing the soloist game like I have before, I want to group and progress. Any recommendations of what to do or anyone wanting to group and progress?

I would try to find a dedicated party and make friends with them. Or find a guild and run with them. If you are still playing when I start on Albion you'd be welcomed to group with me. I wont be over on Albion until tomorrow at the earliest.

I suggest leaving the starter guild and joining Defiance. That should be your best bet.

I have no problem waiting for a duo or group that would fit my playing times. What time zone are you in or what time do you normally play? I'd be down for anything.

Edit: I'm also willing to play a different class if the group needs it, prefer Mercenary but I'd consider others.

We started today a 7 min 7 theurgist 6 Cleric (The cleric is a student so play time is minimal). Our play time is usually around 6p.m. EST until whenever we go to sleep. Not sure how long we will be around that level, but joining Defiance would probably help you a lot to find groups.

I usually get on around 5pm EST myself and can play off and on most days. what is your in game name?
