Worst part about necros are that they act like complete douchers because they'll eventually shelve the necro and roll their main.

invite them to your group and you have unlimited power for your healers.

I give nearby groups power to their casters and healers.
They always act so surprised. Surprised more Necros don't do this.

99% of the time if I am in a camp with a nearby group the spawnrate is more than sufficient for the group to pull and me to pull my own. If pulls are starting to be competitive then usually I move. Its easier for a solo necro to find a good spot rather than a group of 5-8 people. I don't do it to be nice, I do it because I'll level faster not competing with the group.

What irks me is solo cabalists running into camped sites and just AOE dotting everything there and running away. Doesn't matter if there are groups camping the spot. They just run up, steal all the mobs, and run away.

They don't because the class attracts a specific kind of player, jaded by years and years of WoW clones and singleplayer MMOs.

Necromancers who group are great, and I've got no issue with them.

I just groan when I log on at 1am PST time and do a 360 spin and see six Necromancers chewing through every camp around me. If they confined themselves to the smaller camps it wouldn't be so bad, but they're like termites and they unceasingly chew through any spawn they get their hands on.

It's a class that is extremely easy to play solo and selfishly, whereas at least other classes have to stop and regen or take downtime where others can get some pulls in and let the camp respawn. Most other classes/groups pull in a way that there is always a decent small grouping of mobs still up at a camp, whereas an efficient Necro just chews through them.

Once they all hit 50 they should have an "Army of the Dead" style event ALA Lord of the Rings where we use them as a distractionary force while the rest of Albion goes and fights elsewhere in the frontier.

Problem is more that the necros go to the well known mainstream spots. If they would move a bit there is plenty of space an mobs for everybody.
Hope GMs are fine with what they have stated, that they are fine with just 80 people (300ppl was Trishin Statement long time ago) playing the game under their vision.
Its important to leave this server running doesn't matter how low the numbers will be. The other servers can fail but Uthgard still will be there, thats Uthgards only chance.

Edit 19/09/21: Well Uthgards chance has come.

i think its funny how groups set up at camps which are weak to spirit dmg and wonder why there are necros everywhere mowing down everything in sight(<--- get it?). Do as you please but I would suggest not doing spirit weak mobs or Lyo as a whole with your grps :)

Seems like all the Necs now leveling got no class, or the other groups are too ignorant to try and find other nice spots. Why is everyone in Lyonesse anyways?

As stated in another post already, there's plenty of spots for groups 30+, NOT in Lyonesse. There's the frontier for example, then there's Barrows (yes, some necs there too, but some mobs are no fun for nec), then there is Dartmoor.

The next issue is: most people leave the group after a level up -> they need to go to the trainer asap ... and other crap they suddenly tell you, and often as a result, especially deep in the frontier or in dartmoor -> groups disband, sadly. Other than that, a lot of players got no clue how DAoC works, some simply always use the next style they got off their specs, others don't style at all, some paladins are AutoTrain, minstrels too. It doesn't happen often that tanks give protect to clerics/casters or guard to their fellow other tanks, and suddenly the clerics or friars got all the aggro after a single heal, or the caster ... all such small things that sum up and lead to a harder group play than necessary.

PvE in DAoC is really no rocket science.

But this is no 'Nec' issue, this is a player issue. And I can fully understand the frustration that results out of these circumstances.
