I am new to DAoC, like very new. I have decided to start with a Pally, and I am looking for a guild that can help me learn the game and have a great time. I am a social gamer, ive been gaming since pen and paper DnD was new with 1st edition, so i have quite a few years on me, but im still pretty sharp

I can't help you to find the guild you are looking for, but if you plan to play this game until lvl 50 and then do rvr with groups well, you shouldn't play paladin in my opinion. A "new" system of realm abilities is going to be implemented soon and there will be some changes concerning the paladin. That class will lose a realm ability called Determination and it makes paladin kind of useless in group rvr.

If you wanna play a tank you should play Armsman or Mercenary instead.

85 views, and only one response that was to tell me not to play a pally. So im guessing that if you arent an experienced player then you arent wanted here. thats a shame. I would think that at least one guild would welcome new players and help teach them the game so they could teach them the proper way to support/group etc. I guess I also though with this server having the higher population and being close to original it would be the best place to learn. Sadly i guess not.

Sorry I couldn't offer you a guild but I am hib player. However there is guilds in alb that welcome new players and try to teach them the robes just ask around
