a leveling guide would be very class/spec dependent, cos you have to consider mobs strenghts/weaknesses if you wanna optimize your solo xp. Example as a tank you dont wanna fight ghosts since you r gona have malus with any melee weapons, and should be choosing mobs according to the weapon you are using, Thrust has bonus on lizards, Imps, etc. Slash on wolfs, bears, trees, etc. Crush on insects, worms, skeletons, etc. And then going for mobs that at the same time have malus on your armor type would be even better (but not always possible at any level)
As a Air Theurg you wanna fight ghosts, zombie, undead etc. and then for every different form of magic damage you have to consider different kind of mobs.

After this you have to consider that in some areas you have xp bonus (DF, frontiers, etc) and should have the priority over the others. So writing an accurate level by level guide would be pretty though since you basically have to split it into too many different tiers and paths.

Just try to stick with mobs you have bonus with, or in the worst care neutral, just try to avoid those resistant to your damage.
Get a set of crafted weapon from a weapon crafter (any quality is ok) if you are tank, that ll considerably boost your damage, and get a staff with appropriate focus tier and level to improve your mana efficiency if you are a mage. I suggest you to craft a staff level 1, and then ask a spellcrafter to put a 30/35/40 focus to all spell lines on that staff, and you ll be able to exp at best mana efficiency until that level, and you can use that very same staff on any other new mage u ll roll.

Anyway, the best way in daoc to level up quickly will be always grouping with other ppl, as long as the group is balanced and everybody knows what he is doing, especially when u get into the highers levels.
