Your question is a lil bit confusing
If you dont spec anypoints into a weaponline you 1. dont get new styles 2. your damage resulting out of styles from this weaponline doesnt raise and has high variances 3. your damage out of styles from an other weaponline got high variances and damage is also low (e.g. you specced 50 in Polearms but nothing in Slash (using a slash polearm) |

question was asked out of inerest only, as a new saracen s & s pally i wanted to auto train thrust, i was advised to spec crush /chants to do this (thats what i did). the dicussion started with me asking could i get away with speccing shield/chants until 48, then spec into thrust. sorry for the confusion.

Paladins autotrain slash and chants, not thrust.

thanks for the info, i can go slash if need be.

on uthgard, weaponskill doesnt seem to effect ones chance to hit. so speccing low in a weapon line doesnt hurt. this is really advantageous to paladins who are on a hybrid weaponskill table.
