Looking to run a Taj 1 raid with my new theurgy on New Years Eve.

When: Saturday, December 31st, 1 PM to 3 PM EST (thats 17:00 to 19:00 GMT)
What: Taj 1, Cloak & EXP quest (tajendi token, Part I), will probably run temple after if anyone is interested.
Who: Petchel 43 theurg will run it. We need at least one tank and one healer. all others welcome (up to 8 total)
Where: Meet at Archeologist Boggle in Camelot (hes west of the church).

Requirements:
- Have Tajendi mods installed. these are available on the uthgard wesbsite.
- Have about 2 hours of time available. Taj 1 will take between 90 and 120 minutes depending on the group.
- Bring a water pot (greater neried potion). One will work for everyone, but please try to remember to bring one. 20-30g will save us all a ton of time.

Stipulations:
- if signet of the fallen drops. raid leader claims. Why? because im greedy. On the bright side, on any given raid its about a 3% drop rate, so you would be missing out on a 1/8 chance at a 1% droprate times 3 kills which is a 0.375% loot chance at what is probably only a 5-10p item. so even if we call the ring a 10p item, its only a 37.5g weighted average lost per person to have the item claimed . IMO, thats a fair deal.

Its a simple matter of paper daoc / math.

- What is your time worth? personally I value mine in game at around 1p an hour.
- How much time is 37.5g worth? if we go by the 1 pph, its 2.25 minutes.
- Will an experienced raid leader save you more than 2.25 minutes on a raid? I'd say yes. A good raid leader can save you 30 minutes or more and much frustration.

On the other hand if you like playing the lottery, then this deal is not for you. instead maybe pay me 50g, and /random 1000. if you roll a natural 1000, I will pay you 10p. sound like a horrible deal? it is. Rule #1 of gambling. on average, the house always wins. Which is why I prefer to eliminate the stocasticism for people and instead offer/explain things in terms of averages.

on a case by case basis. claiming a rare drop costs 97% of raids absolutely nothing. but in that 3% case, the house wins big. to put that in a gambling perspective, its like taking a large sum of money, and betting on roullette on BOTH black and red. 98% of the time you break even. but a tiny percent of the time, the wheel lands on 0 or 00, and you lose. The only difference here is that on a per player basis, the guests break even about 99.63% of the time (because even if the ring dropped, they would still need to win the roll to walk home with it).

Think more he is refering to that even if youre a leader, you will still need those people to help you. It's not like your exceptional lvl or anything, its just greedy to claim it. You lead it because YOU will get it done faster, not because you wanna help other people obviously.

I wouldn't go on your raid even if I needed Taj-1. I don't support greedy players.
