Hi All,
Looking to relive the glory days of Daoc, thinking of rolling Alb. What classes are needed these days? keep seeing contrasting information in some saying lack of healers, some saying lack of CC. Happy to play most classes, bit rusty on a healer though! |

Sorc/Clerics in both pve and rvr
Pala for pve too Mercs are always welcome Paco - Two-Handed Paladin, Defender of the Church, Scourge of Pagans, Mighty Crusader and such.

Since most groups, RvR or PvE require 2 Clerics, 1/4 of all Albs should be Clerics. Leveling up in the beta, I've seen a good mix of all the other classes, and haven't had an issue with finding any roles other than healing. Rolling a defensive tank (Like a Paladin, or Armsman) may also be a good idea, since I've been playing with a friend who has filled the main tank role in every group, as a Paladin.
So play whatever you think is coolest, and the most fun. Though it might be easier to get groups as a Cleric, or defensive tank. |

Wizards are almost non-existent. They are mandatory for any group of 8 rushing 50, for pbaoe spec (best xp mode in 1.65). Their role is rvr, and especially in keep wafare is critical on all 3 specs, either for pbaoe (door/lord room), for gtaoe spam (spammable without los required) or even bolt to keep enemies heads low on the ramparts.

When there are around 40 classes then you need to start getting creative with class names. No offense, but I hate your sig. |

FYI: every single mentioned class exists in daoc. Warrior = Mid Paladin = Alb Mage = Alb Rogue = Alb Cleric = Alb Someting = Hib |

I've always loved fire wizard, and I am good at it, but it is harder to get consistent groups as fire wizard. I'm definitely going to roll one, but my 1st toon will be cleric this time.
