Hey guys. This is an official guild recruitment thread. You don't have to register on some forum or email somebody.. a simple post or PM will suffice. Let me tell you a little bit about what the guild is:

1. In the spectrum of guilds, I consider this to be somewhere between casual and competitive. It's for the players that want to log in and have a really reliable guild PUG ready to RvR with. It's for the players who don't want to commit to a cookie cutter 8man, but rather, be content playing competitively with the classes available. I don't buy into the bulls**t that a perfect 8man is necessary... I'd rather have a good friar or good wizard in the group than a crappy (insert class here). Lastly, concerning RvR, I'm not of the belief that "thou shall respect thine 8man!". No. Red = dead. This is going to be a "for albion" guild, plain and simple. The biggest draw for me is that we will be participating in both 8v8 (with guild mates available) or zerg or keep take or relic or DF, whatever the case may be.

2. Part of having a successful guild is making the guild BIG. I believe that people at all level ranges should have guild members online to play with, especially in PvE. The biggest thing a guild can do to benefit its members at a new server launch is to create an environment where finding xp groups is easy and expedient. Having guild chat to find classes needed in xp groups is HUGE on a server where the regional chat is disabled. I want leveling to be like "okay lets start an xp group for levels 5-10." and then bam we have 8 guys ready to grind it out. Replacing one guildie with the next as they log out, etc. This is key.

3. We all have real lives that trump DAoC. Personally, I'm a physician and this is my way of destressing, so I enjoy logging in on nights and weekends to wreck havoc in RvR. This reiterates my point that logging in and having a reliable PUG is key. If your playtime is valuable and/or limited, then you deserve a guild that is READY for you when you come online. A few of my friends also have serious RL jobs and families that require our attention, too. To that point, we are looking for high-ranking officers that can run the guild when we aren't around. If you are a leader, DAoC vet, etc, please let me know if this interests you.

4. Take home point -- this guild will be what you make of it. If you wanna PvE all day, cool. If you wanna be a top-10 on the herald and RvR, let's do it.

If anybody is interested, feel free to reach out. My friends and I come from the Merlin server (back in the day) and we look forward to playing on Uthgard 2.0. Toward the end of Uthgard 1.0, we had this guild here and it was really refreshing to welcome people regardless of class and regardless of play style, but still be really competitive when the time came.

So starting out, we could form a pretty sweet leveling group to get our farm/raid toons up to 50 asap. I'm planning on starting with a necromancer. If we can get 1-2 clerics, I could go ds/pbaoe spec. Along with the 1-2 cabs I anticipate you guys having who I've spoken with, no reason we can't power through leveling very very quickly in the first or second round. Plus if we get those farm toons up quickly, it'll provide nice support when we want to level the mains/twinks.
