I tried playing a Hero but gave up because i wasnt wanted in leveling groups. Hibs only wanted caster groups so i left. Do people on Alb at least understand the importance of Tanks? I know my damage is going to suck and i wont be able to take a beating for a while. At least not until I can get some good drops. But will I even get that chance or will people just keep farming with their Necros or running their focus pull groups while im left out in the cold soloing greens?

You won't have groups fall into your lap, but if you are social and persistent enough you can just build your own group easily enough. Being arms you have the tanking covered so just find a cleric which there are plenty of and some other dps and go kill.

You wont be shunned alright. I have a lvl 16 merc and i just need to be active looking. Use the LFG Tool, message the person who is the group leader that your looking. if theres a spot sweet.
If theres no groups open find a paladin similar level and build your own grp from there. You, paladin, cleric, CCer/POM. Ccer and pom can be both with sorc. Tbh theirs generally ample sorc's out there. So your at 4 ppl now with 4 free spots. You can go 2 ways now. Go get mages or go get more tanks. Always invite a scout or an infil if you a spare spot. Help the realm and all that ![]() |

Except for some specific group compositions at certain levels, I would say that 90% of my leveling experience has been: 1x Cleric 1x Sorc + heal pet 1x Paladin 1x PBT Theurgist if we can find one 4x Merc/Arms/Reaver So yes, you will get groups. Finding a polearm is rough (according to my guildies) at lower level, so if I were you I'd spec full shield/weapon until at least the 30s. Doing your lvl 40 epic you can get a sick one, to plan to have a balanced spec at that point. Nezix - 50 Minstrel <The Band>

Im still kind of an Alb newbie so dont even really know what I need in a group. I only played Mid in my early DAoC years because you could only play a single realm. By the time I rolled an Alb BG leveling had just started so thats what everyone did. Also by this point a lot of skills were changed so other than Pally having chants dont know who brings what.
I know dungeon levels but as to actual zone level range im kinda clueless. The entire world seems to have gotten a revamp some time ago because a lot of the mob levels on ZAM are way off. |

Every night on my ice wiz I'm looking for a pally and arms <3 so yes, you will find groups.

You will definitely find groups! there are seriously not enough melee chars out there at the moment. Probably a good number of Necros will roll one, so if you start now you will be needed before the necro wave starts rolling down with their alts
![]() Remember also that their aren't many pallys out there. It is simply not realistic to get a PVE pally everytime just by looking around. |

Everyone understands the importance of tanks when it comes to RvRing and Pve Raiding,
Everyone also understands that tanks are a burden xp wise in leveling and are not part of the best leveling set ups, and they don't want to lose xp to someone who's not as useful as someone else. that's the reality for you. |

Armsman absolutely in PVE Melee DPS groups
RVR - Everyone wants an Armsman. Paladin is the most needed PVE class in Alb right now. Armsman / Merc close second. Paladins have the disadvantage of low RvR desirability whereas Armsmans and Mercs will be needed for every Melee-RVR group. Rixen Aranos - 47th level Mercenary

A typical exp group set up looks like Cleric/Sorc/Theurg/Paladin and then stack 4m dps, merc/arms/infi/friar are all welcome to fill this role.
