since uthgard staff is not willing to give us a complete items DB, I can't find any (partial) complete DB in the forums (only hib/mid seem to exist for public?) and noone is willing to send me his/hers:

Would it be technically possible to start and maintain a community project in which we collect data of items in some versioning tool like GIT or SVN?

And if so, are there enough people who'd like to participate and update such community-dirven project?

We could use data gathered in the online bestiary (http://www.disorder.dk/daoc/bestiary/ - if its owner is willing to cooperate) as a starting point and manually add/correct the missing data.
