Hola, I am rerolling with a few mates (4 of us) in total and I have a few questions:

1. Hows the PvE situation on Albion? Are necros / cabalists running amok at every camp or are there regular groups to be had?

2. Does Albion do any kinda zerg exp? In midgard there are daily events where you zerg things down (Malm / SH / DF) and I am wondering if the same is done here.

3. Are there any classes that are lacking for RvR (astleast on the pug side of things?), we have two who are undecided, so landing on favorable classes might be ideal.

4. Anybody doing any transfers? :P

Thanks in advance, see you sunday.
Just about done..

1. There are regular groups to be had if you are a grouping class. There are cabbies and necros to the point of them being a plague, but you can still find xp groups.

2. There are very rarely zerg xp events. There have been a few attempts that I know of to go to SH, but albs have gotten rolled by mid most times.

3. Clerics are always needed and seemingly at a shortage right now. Sorcs/Minstrels are always needed as well. Mercs/Arms seem to be at a lower pop than caster classes as well, at least in my opinion.

4. Can't help ya there!

Hope this helped, enjoy your time on Alb and look forward to playing with you all )

Hey mate, I did the same.

1. Necro's/cabbys are an issue in lyonesse, elsewhere no big deal. Groups still exist as much if not more than the other realms.

2. There are some events like on mid, but since those zone controls are less predictable, it's a little less often.

3. I would say clerics are a little lacking, mercs, and sorcs. Though alot of people have made sorcs recently.

Thanks for the feedback guys, appreciate it.

We might end up with Sorc / Cabalist / Minstrel / Theurg as apparently nobody wants to cleric... we'll see how that goes

i allso moved from mid to alb, and let me weigh i on this:

#1 yes cabby/necros are a plauge not just in lyon but any good pve spots there is atleast 2 necro/cabbys pulling even if your there with a grp they show up and just starts pulling. There is not alot of normal pve grps going(compared to mid there is barely none) so your gonna have to start your own grp and hope to find a paladin and cleric.

#2 There have been a few zerg event but again nothing compared to what mid does, dont expect to lvl this way.

#3 Cleric and minst / sorc seems to be the most "rare" classes if u look apart for paladin(yes i knoew they are retarded in rvr atm)

1: Necro's/Cabby's are not a problem unless you make them a problem. Sure their are a lot of them in Lyonesse but thats not the only 40+ zone. Dartmoor? Llyn Barfog? pvp zones? dungeons? WHOA! They exist!!

2: We tried a few times. Unfortunately most guilds/alliances don't want 'outsiders' joining even if they are higher level, albeit the problem of Albion.

3: Honestly? GOOD sorc's and clerics. It's not so much of a class issue for albion though, its the 8v8 mentality that some guilds have. You will literally get effing spammed nonstop from certain players/guilds to the point where you have to /ignore them if you add to 'their fights'.

4: Nope..but coming close!

Oh well most of here crying after clerics now. The first days there was many more clerics here than nec.

I remember ask for group as cleric i only hear hey make an other char here are to many clerics. ;)

So doing that hard way and smite than. Now he is 40 since weeks and i am sick to find good groups or building such a group. Was frustrating to search 1-3 hours or build in the same time.

If you look after a 40 cleric pm me.

Necros have never been #2 in population here as long as I've been tracking it, but it is true that we were RIFE with clerics for a while; they were easily the #2 most populous class for a long while.

May drag mine out again.

I seriously dont understand the point of Zerg exp events. I was in one earlier for almost 2 hours and I never saw my exp bar move. I did get a lot of gold to help leveling my crafting skill but how can you call something an EXP event if you literally get ZERO exp.

Sorc are definitely not rare on Alb, by any means.

You were in the afk/GIMP grp then. When grp a balanced the exp is fine. It's very fast without downtime.

On topic Alb is failed state don't come here. Stay mid it's much better. It's like 60%+ of pop in alb is only doing PL or solo play. No classic DAoC at all. If you have some friends that PL you it's fine.
Hope GMs are fine with what they have stated, that they are fine with just 80 people (300ppl was Trishin Statement long time ago) playing the game under their vision.
Its important to leave this server running doesn't matter how low the numbers will be. The other servers can fail but Uthgard still will be there, thats Uthgards only chance.

Edit 19/09/21: Well Uthgards chance has come.

it's sadly true that Alb PvE is in a sad state. we also lack paladins, because nobody wants to play such a gimp RvR char.

Alb got pl chars, thats why group leveling falls behind. The state of PvE in general is amazing, the state of group leveling is not good.

The main reason Paladins are rare, are people saying they are gimp in RvR without having a clue.

-In terms of PvE, alb is extremely lacking in Paladins. Since they don't get determination they aren't popular in RvR, yet they are necessary for any alb melee PvE group and are in extreme demand.

-Cabalists and Necros completely dominate lyonesse and also DF when its open. That being said, if you can't beat the necros, then start inviting them to group. Deathsight necros are amazing as power batteries. But as a previous post already said, lyonesse is far from the only place to level. Necros/cabs are not a problem at all in places like lyn barfog, dartmoor, frontier dungeons, etc...
