Runemaster, tailor vs spellcrafter?

Hello!
I have already asked this question in the chat, one player told me to make a tailor, but I don´t know why. I am a new player, and I think spellcrafting fits better for a runemaster. So, why tailor? Thus, I have some questions: 1) Spellcrafting vs tailoring: which one gives more money. 2) Which one provides better equipement, for me to use. 3) Can I pass spellcrafting by using enchanter NPCs? Can I pass tailoring buying from merchants? Thanks! |

i'm leg spellcrafter on my rm. is nice to have the speed go back and forth to the merchants but.... since most rm's don't sc any strength into there suit you'll need str items to swap out of your template items to carry a lot of mats.

imo tailor, because with only 50 strength, you can't carry very many spellcrafting materials. and believe me, when you get up there, it really starts weighing you down.

But I am a Norseman, I am 70 strength.
I had planned to use spellcrafting, and thus empower my spells, to compensate for my lack of piety. Is it a good strategy, or can the NPC enchanters do it better? and what about money? |

npc enchanters only apply bonuses to armor and weapons for better defence and to hit.
side note: for runie i'd put most of my point into dex Uthgard 1; Mid: jalora-Runemaster-50-RR5l3-Leg SC, jalori-Thane-50-RR 5l1-LGM-Tailor,jalorie-Shaman-50-RR3l9-Barrel Alch, jalorese-Berserker-48-RR3l4-low-WC,jalorea 50 summon SM, 37 huntress - lgm ac Live; home server: Mid Gawaine jalorian-healer, jaloria-bd, many jalor and bot army alts GM of forn sidr "we knew drama" |

I did Tailor on my Spiritmaster since its my farmer/ salvager/ trinketer character.
So I did Spellcrafting with my Runemaster. Its easy to have a few jewelry pieces with Str on them for when your crafting. I have even made some cheap and quick templates with no overcharging that caps Str and your other stats and just melee resists, fine for leveling and helps if you need Str for crafting. I needed max Str on my SM anyway to carry loot. So this works for other casters also. Speed does help on the Runemaster. For the same reason my Skald is my Alchemist. Always running to Vas to make bottles etc. |

So, I think I´ll go for spellcrafting.
One last thing, how should I begin? I have read that I can create the gems on muy own, but, in order to imbue items I need another player to craft them for me. I understand that I can´t buy items and then imbue them. Is it easy to ask someone to make those itmes? How do you usually arrage it? Thanks! you´re helping me a lot! |

to skill up spellcrafting you simply just make the gems. imbuing items gives no skill up for spell crafting.
