Rick,
Most of us are too lazy to write out complete words. :) Realm abilities are gained by mostly killing realm enemies. You buy RAs which in turn gives you extra abilities. Most times they assist in fighting the same enemies. It's one of the main reasons people go out there and butt-heads.

so that's what you buy with bounty points? I haven't even seen a player from another realm. Which is a good thing probably since I doubt it would end well for me

I'm not new to MMO's. I played EQ since a couple months pre-Kunark to GoD. I even have a high level on Project99 (Iit's the Uthgard of EQ servers). I even played DAoC on it's release day but I stopped playing soon after due to the lag. I don't think I ever even got a char to 20. I'm just not used to seeing OOP and thinkng mana. I think OOPs means someone backed into a roamer so I start looking around trying to find the add lol. I have so much to learn about DAoC. I gotta say though since I never really got into back in the day it's pretty great to have this brand new world available to me now. It's not nostalgic, it's all new to me.

some say oop (out of power) some say oom (out of mana) wich means the same thing
mt or fc means the same thing also (wrong chat)
ooe (out of endurance) the damage dealers favorite yell :)
ooc (out of concentration ) healers and shamans have a limited concentration pool for buffing their group
you will learn ^^
just ask the ppl in your group or in /advice if something is unclear to you :)

You don´t buy RAs with Bountypoints, but with the points you get for getting a new Realmrank. YOu get realmranks for killing enemy players, which give you Realmpoints. Its like XP really, just it goes a lot slower. With Bountypoints, you can buy recharge stones and Respec Stones (The first are for recharging items which have charges, the second are for beeing able to reset your skillpoints)
