and therein lies the problem with sword.. in order to get the highest GR style you have to go lower BS 50/43 or miss out on Rag entirely and go 44/46

with Axe you can go 44/46 and still have the front style

hammers you can go 44/46 or even 29 ham 37 parry and 46 BS, which with the lack of weapon skill should still work just as well.

Hi

i have a couple of skalds. the 50lv is 44bs, 44ham, rest parry. quite OK but not as efficient as I'd like.

my actual favorite one, still growing (lvl 35) uses axe, i play mainly the role caster-healer interrupt. for this i play a 1H axe to swing often and axe has a nice back style that creates bleeding that also interrupt some casters.
I find it more efficient than 2h weapon as some guys were able to mezz me in between 2 swings.

bad side of axe (vs hammer) is as mentioned endu consumption.

as mentioned, sword is quite good but replies more on positional or after parry suite chain (not to mention hisgher endu consumption).

now on a not out of any DPS consideration, i prefer the 2h sword animations when using styles, it looks more class and hip to me.

cheers

For solo axe might be viable, but for group...no. Btw, you are talking about a bleed style as if it was something good. It does not interrupt, it just makes your target impossible to CC for a certain period of time, so for group RvR it's bad. That's precisely the reason why any normal zerker does not use icy brilliance and sticks to conquer+snowsquall. So for group, hammer is the way to go. Low endo drain anytime, glorious snare and no ****** bleeds.

hammer all the way. Not enough endo solo for axe/sword.

just dragon raid for a few days and you'll have your 30-40p or your hammer.
