Finally got daoc to work for my mac, i want to go with a group friendly class to level up and meet new people in game. I'm guessing it's going to be a shaman? What should I skill up so I make sure i have the right buffs and heals for leveling?

Thanks guys!

Healers, Shammies, Warriors & Supp sm's are some of the most group friendly chars you can find on midgaard :)

If you decide to go for shama I suggest to go full mend to lvl 40 and then you have to decide which spec you are heading to with level 50. I might be wrong, but that prolly the best way.

You have to tell us what route you ended up with on your mac.
Bootcamp, vmware, paralells, wine, crossover, qemu, virtualbox, mono, etc.
Without that info there is not much we can do to help you out.

When it comes to a shaman, going full aug while xping is a big mistake, it gives you so much downtime.

Personally what I did when I got mine up a long time ago was going this route:
lvl 1-5 full mend, respec all at lvl 5
lvl 5, 3mend 4aug (and get hold of +mend items, at least +1)
lvl 7, 5mend 4aug
lvl 8, 5mend 6aug
lvl 11, 9mend 6aug
lvl 17, 11mend 12aug
lvl 19, 11mend 15aug
lvl 25, 11mend 22aug
lvl 27, 14mend 22aug
lvl 32, 14mend 28aug
lvl 34, 18mend 28aug
After this you either go for 25mend if you feel you can not heal enough, or up aug to 32 (only end) then 37 (specs).

You would want to go this route for the simple reason that you will be a support, and not just a buffbot.
Very often you will be the only healing class, sometimes you will have an aug healer there for cele (that means 18 aug at lvl 20 and no healing power or higher than pom1), so it is important that you can heal for your group, and do so mana efficantly.

Most of the downtime in a mid-group is power related, so you really do not want to enhance it by skipping out on mending.

I figured it out You have to disable mouse acceleration, then set vmware mouse setting for best for gaming always and it's good. Thanks for the advice and now on to the grind.
