Need a decent duo for 2 oldschool players

My friend and I are looking to come back after a million year DAOC hiatus -- we used to play Bard/Druid back on Kay and were looking for a slightly more effective combo on Mid this time around. Anyone have a suggestions for a duo that can be fun in RVR, but could actually kill a monster or two as well?

Shaman + skald gets you full buffs and speed, what more can you want. Shaman + any other viking class is almost as good.

Druid bard V2, but not as awful ;p So is MID decently populated -- will we be able to get a RVR group at NA prime-time? |

No.
And even if you do, you will find nothing to fight. NA primetime is dead. |

Do something a little different and go healer and spiritmaster. Way more utility than a shaman bot and a melee class.
