Guild Recruitment?

In short from my experience thus far WOW PEOPLE ON THIS SERVER ARE JERKS!
I understand there are a LOT of new accounts made. Many are toxic players and xrealmers and others are only around for a short period of time but holy hell people are extremely rude just for asking around about guild invites. We were trying to find a guild that accepts new players (not new to the game just Uthgard) but after being sworn at by multiple guilds and the insults I don't know how anyone manages to group up with anyone on here. |

unlucky you
my guild isnt inviting too, but for reasons. when i grp up with someone that is looking for a guild i post it in ally chat and untill now everyone found a spot on the table. i didnt play on uth1 since i was thinking too, that the community was kinda toxic. no decent answers no kind words no help. but on uth2 (i started a few month after launch) that stragers handed me a few coins or crafted me some lowbie weapons. might be the realm, might be the time zone. and some ppl might always attrackt the jerks, but dont measure everything by the same yardstick |

What do you plan on doing in-game, what kind of RvR do you guys prefer etc? I've been on mid since launch and while there are some jerks there are some good guilds too, i'm sure you'll find one eventually. I've had people ask for /gc invite before but never had to curse them out for asking I wonder what made these people act so crazy. |

People do tend to want things 'just so' on Uthgard. Many people just solo forever because of the toxicity and overall lack of manners most players seem to have. Especially if a person has other challenges just inherent in who that person is. Unless you are an absolutely 'normal' casual person it is probably best that you don't get to know to many people here very deeply. Keep a sharp eye on everyone, especially after you won a roll for something in a raid that they may have wanted
I deeply empathize with you and yours, and wish you all the best. This place can certainly be toxic. The forums especially can be too. |

Hib is nothing like this. |

Hello, very sorry to read that. My experiences in hib are not that bad so far, at least there seem always guilds out to recruit people and I often see guild invitations in group chats. I guess it depends on what you are looking for. What I deeply miss on this server is the chance to connect with other people and get to know them before joining their guild. It's not about the design, but about the attitude. When I deleted my alb account and rerolled in hib, i was like: ah, let's do some grouping here and there, get to know hib players and make friends and then apply to their guild. But it doesn't work this way here, at least not for me. I rarely get to group with the same people more often than once or twice and then they are gone. Maybe I have a bad reputation which I don't know about But to me it seems many people here just mind their own business and aren't interested in opening up to other players. That's why I'm still guildless. From time to time I get invited by strangers, but have a bad feeling about joining their guild without knowing a thing about the members. And sometimes I see these people again and how they treat other people and feel very relieved that I don't have to say: that jerk is my guild mate. Long story short, I hope you'll find a guild which matches your expectations and get your fun back It's rumored there are lonely people in mid who lost like 90 friends this year and need some company maybe Best wishes Zaya |

So on Mid I've had about the same experience with grouping. It's been a bit class dependent, which isn't the best thing with low pop, and I can definitely see some newer or returning players getting discouraged and quitting. I had a few times where I grouped with most of the same people. For a long time I remained in the starter guild with all my characters. However even that had been quiet for some time so I left it with all my chars. Last week I got a random invite to a guild called SLAYER. So far they've been really good. It's a newer guild and they've been grouping most anyone in guild, and some outside, to try to get everyone up to FZ levels. I've had some good run ins with other guilds as well, but I haven't been seeing some of them around as much as I did a month or two ago. I'd love to see an advice channel put in there to help new players. Strictly enforced and /advice only though. That may end up helping a lot of people get some answers from more experienced players. I've been seeing a trickle of players that haven't played DAoC since SI times or have never played the game at all. |
