Hello All

Long time MMO player here. Been re-playing EQ on P99 for a couple of years and my buddy and I are now coming here to give DAoC a try! Neither of us has ever tried DAoC but we are as pr0 as they come so are greatly looking forward to it.

Could someone please recommend a few options that would be viable for us to Duo together whilst levelling. I assume one of us needs some kinds of heals, or both go pet class? We dont need to play the absolute most effective duo combo, just something that will be fun and work. We will be picking a class from Midgard hence my reason for posting here.

Shaman + Skald is always good. You get endurance and fastest movement speed song. If you want to make a more passive, farm based class, a pac healer with a summon Spirit Master. I suggest shaman and skald though, as both are wanted for EXP groups. Shaman needs to spec Augmentation, however, if you want the endurance buff that is so highly coveted.

Since you're totally new, let me make an alternative recommendation. Dark Ages is all about group-based leveling. You two will most likely be grouping up with other players to form a full 8 person group to level with.

The PVE can be fun in this game, but the RvR (PvP) is what makes it amazing. Play what you would like to play in the end game, and let leveling happen on its own.

Also, in contrast to some games, even Warriors, the tank class in Midgard, put out solid damage. The way you specialize is almost as important as the class you pick. For example, all casters have three different spec lines: some of them are so different that they might as well be a different class entirely.

Why don't you tell us what roles you to like playing, and we can recommend classes based on that.
