ok i get allot of different opinion about .... what's real ?

i know this :

if u take MOS and u are SB or NS or INFIL u have
5% stealth speed and each time u upgrade level u upgrade the radius inside u can see HUNTER RANGER SCOUT

if u are HUNTER RANGER SCOUT u have
15% stealth speed and each time u upgrade level u upgrade the radius inside u can see SB NSand INF

NOTE
if u are a SB and upgrade MOS u cannot see easyer the NS and INF but only the SCOUT and RANGER

that's correct ?

Modifies stealth detection and stealth movement. Camouflage counters the Mastery of Stealth bonus, allowing an archer to only be seen at the normal range. Doesn't affect detect hidden classes when they are detecting other detect hidden classes. (Meaning it has no affect on assassins detecting assassins.)

yes, but ranger/scout only if they aren't camouflaged. it works on finding minstrels too btw.
you still can't find any NS/inf even with mos5.

I doubt that archers get more speed from MoS vs assains. I say this because my hunter has mos 4 and a few NS and Inf can move faster then my hunter.
My hunter's effective stealth is 50 so if a Inf or NS is moving faster I think they have MoS 5, very few move this fast. Infact most enemy assains move slower.
Playing a hunter I tend to wait for camo to come back up, not because of the enemy having MoS but because of detect hidden. As a SB you will already have the ability to see archers at distance if their cammo is down.

maybe im repeating.

But basically Assassins only benefit from taking MOS in 3 ways.

1. Defence. because it counters others mastery levels.
2. Stealth speed improvement.
3. possibly uncover others without detect hidden if they are low on MOS

So really archers get the most bang for their buck imo.

- My SB has MOS 3 for mainly defencive purposes.

Defence?!
MoS is an "offensive" RA - you can see farther but it doesn't protect you from being seen.
For Assassins it's only the speed and seeing non-camouflaged archers and minstrels.

When MoS was released in NF the original description said that your own MoS would cancel out any other MoS user. So if you had MoS2 and someone else had MoS4, it would be as if you were at MoS0 for detection, and them MoS2.

It was never release that way though. I don't even think it worked that way in NF beta, their description was just wrong at first. That created a lot of confusion early on, and the rumor that MoS cancels people trying to detect you still persists.

Its also interesting to note that if an assassin specs 15 or less natural stealth (think its 15), they will not have detect hidden. This gives assassins the option of seeing other assassins with an MoS bonus.

He mean defensive because if ranger has camou down you can avoid his side stun.

You get it with 16 Stealth.
In theory this is possible but what's the point when you can use mos5 against assassins when nearly every char sees you at clipping range?

If you are an assassin you get these benefits from MoS:
  • You move faster in stealth.
  • You can see archers better ONLY when their camouflage is down.
  • You see minstrels further away.

If you are an archer:
  • You move faster in stealth.
  • You see assassins and minstrels further away.
  • You can see archers better ONLY when their camouflage is down.

What MoS does NOT do:
  • Improve your stealth.
  • Help assassins to see anyone except minstrels and archers with camouflage down.
  • Counter anyone else's MoS.

If you aren't stealthed and want to pop assasins who are its very useful. I knew of a few assassins that did this on live, run with visibles and pop every stealther that you know adds. The only reason to pick an assasin over archer for this is the assasin offers better melee dmg and venom when you pop the person. A ranger might still be better than a NS, but SB/Inf does way better dmg than scout/hunter.

MoS does not work for assassins on assassins.

MoS (on live) does not work for detect hidden users against other detect hidden users, since assassins receive detect hidden at a spec of 16 in stealth, that means that an assassin with 15 stealth or lower WILL be able to use MoS to see other assassins.

This was already stated in this thread.

Interesting idea, but does it actually work on Uthgard? Also, it should severely gimp the usefulness of MoS because the stealth detection radius for a player with 15 stealth will be very low with 26 composite spec in stealth + 1 pt. for each RR, of course. I'd imagine that would nullify any bonus that having high MoS would give and the possesser of such a low stealth bonus would fail stealth checks constantly. When I was only 2 points low in stealth (I specced for RR6) I had a hell of a time finding other stealthers before they found me.

I do not think that idea would work.
