I figured that out, but was thinking that perhaps the nerf got rescinded between 1.69 and 1.80, because Astealoths reports of how well he does with Left Axe is so different from Shadowblades of 2004 who for the most part say they are much weaker than infs or Nightshades after the LA nerf.

Part of that seems RA though. Why do only nightshades get Absorb Pain? What a great ability, on a 15 minute timer no less. Not only do SB or Infs get nothing comparable, but the SB unique seems silly compared to Viper or Vanish.

Of course I have no experience as a stealther, which is why I finally want to play one, and I want to be a SB because I like axes and Norse character graphics. But it seems with the old RA's coming I will be defeated by Nightshades everytime and infs whenever vanish is up. Hard to see how Shadowrun is not a waste of points.

Here's hoping you experts prove me wrong. I don't want to just be a caster hunter but turn my tail and run everytime I detect an enemy stealther.

I'm surprised no one has included this in an RA setup. Nice damage bonus when you need it to help counter Avoid Pain or whatever.

Ok I think I will go SB regardless of balance shifts. Just like the Norse too much!

Can anyone here give me a good leveling spec--doing full autotrain of course so I won't be terribly effective in BGs, like a gimped zerker I guess.

Thanks,

Hally

wrong, its 1.69. Dragonfang = 5secs.
It was the point for the staff to set de version, afaik their intention was set server to 1.57 or even less.

Dragonfang nerf in v1.69 was a reason to change this :)

Because Nightshades are cursed to start with 40 con, the lowest starting con of any race. AP was granted to them to counterbalance this.

All of them were too weak to justify the point usage. Absorption can not be countered.

It's 10% damage increase per rank in the RA.
