Blue wrote:He will not get banned. We distinct when we ban and trust me we have a lot of experience in finding buffbot logins. What he does is legit as long as he doesnt log in a second char and buffs him. Also he doesnt do it for free which is a point you won't find on the personal buffbot front.

So next time i log in buff up my friend go afk and make a forum post that I charge him for 10g /h and I'm fine or what ^^ Buffbot is buffbot, no excuses.

Accounts on live costs money, on Uthgard they are free. Theres a big difference between two persons logging an exping char + buffbot and one player dual logging an exping char + buffbot.

Your scenario with you buffing your friend seems perfectly legal. You dont have to make the artificial forum post and payment though. But I think you may need to perform a buffbot test if you play on the same network.

na the problem is you can't prove if your bb is played by a diffrent player if he isn't mentally/physically there himself
i mean i could e.g get my friends computer running or proxy or what ever but its not 2 players
so if your buffer is afk he will get banned.

If the buffer is the same person he will get banned. Working together in any way is no problem. Logging in two accounts by the same person is a bannable action, no matter from which ip/proxy. We find you. Using proxys to circumvent the dual login detection will result in an immediate permban of all associated accounts as this is made by intent to break the rules.

Words!! U have no way to detect dual logins from proxys or infact prove if it is the same person playing 2 accounts. Daoc is a old and slow game so its easy to control 2 accounts at once. I know lot of ppl that dual login frequently and made it for years without detection. Maybe in wont work in RvR but works fine in pve, not that i know of it, cba to get a proxy just for a game.

This is ok for you ?

§7.4 Help from players
Abuse and rule violations should be reported. The staff wants a working community where the rules are followed. Therefore we count on your help to reach that goal. This includes reports about buffbots and macrotool-users like levelbots. If you want to report an abuse or a rule violation, use the /appeal command or contact a staffmember in the IRC or forum. Such reports will be treated confidentially. We are grateful for each report. Please note that in most cases the staff can only take actions if you provide screenshots and/or logfiles.

You all make it so frightening having a friend buffbot you a bit while he does something else. Dont think ive lvled a char without atleast a few hours of /slaping a friend to afk with some buffs xd

The rules are pretty simple here. You can’t help one of your own characters with anything else controlled by yourself.

Everyone sticks on the “oh you can’t prove anything” junk with proxies but really, this isn’t Mythic. The admins aren’t charging us. They can use whatever tools at their disposal and common sense and identify people breaking the rules. They could very well ban you for buffing yourself via your undetectable proxy because they can just tell. Yes it's subjective but they get that power that mythic didn't. If you follow the rules, you won’t even be in a situation to be scrutinized.

If you want to try to get away with it go for it. Maybe you will for a while but the great thing about Uthgard is it takes some investment to get to the endgame, just like old school Live did. So when you eventually do get banned it will hurt that much more.

So just to clarify:
Is it allowed that a friend of mine loggs a BB, buffs me and goes AFK? These are two players but one just does nothing.

Yes, however if you are behind the same router or there is any way to mistake you for 1 person we suggest you do not afk.
