With best range bow (base range of 1600) plus Xlong arrows, max hunter range is 2000 on plain field (uphill shoots shorter, downhill shoots farther.. furthest..furry... whatever the word for +range)

Any Hunter templates? Cheap or expensive? My hunter is almost ready to put a template on so i want to start farming the items.

From what I`ve heard, the hunter pet does not cast plague on this server. Why so much in BC then? It neglects the pet`s use totally in my opinion...

The pet doesnt have any special abilities at the patch setting we are playing at. I have alot of BC in my build because of the things it does give you. At 40 you get the yellow d/q buff (which is actually a few points higher then the high end d/q charge and doesnt have a reue timer), at 42 you get the red AF, and at 43 you get the fastest speed shout. All 3 of those come in handy. When I get to 8L0 I will be going for 50 BC just so I can use the red d/q buff. My other options are to raise bow, which is pointless unless I can get it to 45, or raise spear up which is also pointless since I dont really use the rear stun that much. My only other option is BC. Now for other people they may go a different route, but for me that is what will work best.

Sounds not bad but i would go Sword for foolowupstun after evade since you should have a lot of dex for bow anyway and the evade rate is quite nice and you need only 39 Sword for it...
At 1 vs 1 normally the people wont run away from you...

Yah, sword is very nice with the after evade stun and being able to switch from 1h/shield to 2h and use all the same styles is also very nice. The problem is that you will have weak matchups on occasion using sword. For example, you are fighting a ranger and now you will be doing minus dmg on every swing. With spear you can switch between slash and pierce so you will always have at worst a neutral matchup. However, I have seen sword work just fine. Either way works. I could be wrong, but I personally feel spear also offers the best effects with styles with the snare on the anytimer 2 style chain and high growth rates on everything else.

Hi :) been looking forward to uthgard 2.0, and I was thinking what class I wanted to solo with. Hunter really appeals to me, but I am struggling with how viable they would be w/o access to MoS and assassins being one of our most viable kill targets in solo play.

Anything glaring in this guide you would change or predict for the 1.65 patch?

Thanks and I hope you still check the forums! :D :D

with old RA hunter is not really playable solo in stealthwars, or well, he can go out and kill one enemy every 30 mins with true sight, but that is about it.

But it will be a very good playable in team together with other stealthers

This guide seems really useful for 2.0, but could use a bit of fleshing out - anyone have answers for the following:

- what should the starting stats be for a hunter (by race if possible)?
- what RAs are most critical with the Old RA system Uth 2.0 will use? What order to get them (assuming some battleground play)?
- how should one spec while leveling? What are some specs for key levels (10, bg cap levels, 40 etc)?
