I'd like to disagree here.
Whenever i log on my shaman (21 now), I won't have to wait long to get spammed with group invites and people asking if I'm free (which I'm usually not ).
So there's definitely always a need for shamans.
Another point might be, that I'm quite the charming fella, not your random buff-all-2-hrs-bio-break-guy and people like to remember and reinvite me, after playing once with me.

What I'm trying to say? Stay in the minds and on the friends lists of people and you'll always find a group.
