/agree

Also speed for moving through zones/bgs.

Make sure you get 15 hammer for provoke early on, you will never run out of endurance. Thanes are pretty good solo as well.

This holds true for any Midgard tank class.

yes, invulnerable... o.0 probably also the reason why there's 10 SMs rr8+, right? i wonder how many of your posts actually make sense

SM is the bomb class of midgard, you can spec in suppression -> bomb (331 delve), darkness -> lifeleech and summoning -> focus shield & pet heal

the good thing about summoning sm is that your focus shield and pet heal are in the same line so unlike enchanter you can heal your pet and the variance wont be between 100 and banana

bomb sm has the advantage of being intercepted by the pet, the higher your pet becomes the higher the chance to intercept an attack is. the highest pet has a 50% chance to intercept (this is what toblerone means with invulnerable i guess, if you stun or mezz the pet though, you can kill the SM like any caster)
same advantage for the darkness sm (makes him a sucker to kill for tanks in general)

as summon sm you are pretty useless in bgs though so if you only wanna pvm, its still probably the best class for farming etc, you can still get a few RPs in braemar and wilton but it will be hard work, when you're ready for it, just respec to bomb or lifetap and start the fun

Wasn't the intercept of the highest SM-pet 80%.
I'm pretty sure it is/was..

nope it's 50%

back when the pet was introduced there was a small (^^) mistake so that the first pet which can intercept intercepted 80% of all hits instead of 20% (they just twisted a number there)

i havent played my SM in a while now but, yes, it happens that the pet intercepts like 3 times in a row but on the other hand it also happened to me that a realm enemy resisted 8 casts of me in a row... thats more a matter of uthgard's random system (which has already been discussed many many times i think)

Only thing in Summoning is, that the small focus shield sucks. its duration is only 60 seconds instead of 20 minutes from enchanter one
