We have been around for many years, and lived through several MMO's. We have taken the slower approach to Uthgard, due to it being a FREE shard, but this has been an amazing experience for us. The stability is amazing, and we see ourselves playing here for a long time to come.

Remember, Ceaseless is a US based guild. 90% of our members are from the United States. The other 10% are from around the world, but play in our US time zone.

We had a long talk about our recruitment and have decided to open it up. Let me cut a piece out of our website, for some information....Again, if you do NOT like to read about this type of stuff, dont read on :) It is kind of a lengthy post, and for that I appologize.

Ceaseless is looking for Guild members that have the same attitudes as we do and play their characters in a manner that is above and beyond the common player. We are all adults, we use adult language, you have to deal with that.

Now, you do not have to ask, is this an RvR type guild. This is DAoC, and you should not be playing it if that isn't part of your game plan :) We will be hitting all content on this server. Ranging from Keep Raiding, Relic Raiding, 8v8 Groups, BG runs, *LONG* Farming sessions, Tajendi Content, DF raids, and many more.

Guild Recruitment Standards

Ceaseless is currently accepting applications from all classes with the following minimum requirements:

1. Must speak and/or be able to understand ENGLISH. 90% of our members are US players, the select few that aren't, do speak it perfectly.
2. You have to be able to take sarcasm and foul language, if not, this is not for you. We are all adults.
3. Must have ventrilo (At least a headset to hear what is happening. We do ALL of our group and raid activity on Ventrilo)
4. Must register on our forums with the name of your MAIN character.
5. To be considered for membership, applicants must be un-guilded at the time of application up until receiving their tag or denial. Multiple guild applications are also frowned upon. We're looking for select, dedicated individuals and will reject anyone that has spammed out guild applications.
6. You must be a bit above your "casual" gamer. We are a semi-core focused guild and are looking for players with a good amount of playtime. We all have jobs and a family, so don't worry about that! Ceaseless has a good mixture of playstyles. As much as we try to cater to our casual players.... the majority of our events that happen are organized and participated by our players who are on daily.
7. Any applications submitted without one of the following requirements will be disreguarded. <Sorry for you folks who don't like to read>
8. Qualified candidates will exhibit good citizenship to those around them as well as having a good knowledge of and command of their character.
9. Applicants will be contacted in game or via email by officers or the leader of the guild for an initial interview as well as being invited to attend guild events (Including EXP grind groups / RvR battles etc) so we get to know each other better.
10. You must be 18 years of age or older. NO NO NO NO NO EXCEPTIONS. If your 17.66 (repeating of course). Don't bother.

If after reading these outlines and our general rules and feel that Ceaseless is the home for you, please visit www.ceaselessguild.com and click JOIN --- If not, thank for stopping by!

Well, sorry for the long winded post, but that is our application process, this will eliminate any of those questions being asked (We hope).

Please contact Jerb, Jaimie, Wellzy, Kherisah, Dizdatch, Ildatchy, or Zantheren for information!

LOL koomi

My two Cents : I'm second in command of Ceaseless. We have been very picky to recruit new members, and it is not because we are elitest jerks. Its because this family has been around for years and we are careful not to ruin it.

But we are really enjoying our time here and would like to increase our numbers with some Like-Minded players. If you are interested- either read Barlow's rant or join us on vent and get to know us.

See you guys in Midgard!

geez. sounds like a job application.

is this WoW or what?

guilds are to have fun with others, not to force them to meet your qualifications in order to be committed to play for hours or face being kicked out.

Well, I didnt read in there that you get removed. Were letting folks know that we tend to schedule things on the fly, and do not be upset if you dont get in the grp. We tend to cater towards our players who are on daily. We do not EXPECT folks to adapt to us, we are letting everyone know what we are like. If you do not fit in, you won't be happy.

As far as qualifications etc, we just want folks to realize that we are adults, and are here for 100% fun, but, it is an adult atmosphere, language, jokes, the whole nine yard. We dont want kids getting in and hating life. As for you Terragon, you seem like a player trying to start an argument, or "needling" if you will, and it isn't working.

Thank you for your kind words though Terragon, it is a shame we do not know your toons name.

Good to know our 7+ yrs of being together has made you angry.

We aren't a huge/zerg guild, but we are like novacaine, give it time, always works.

Sleep tight kiddo.

I just dont see how being an adult with a family and being on daily goes together at all. i for one can only play 5-6 hours a week and generally on the weekends and not being able to be a part of a guild on a server where pretty much everyone is over 20 years of age, is just silly in my opinion.

i just think that guilds should be more accessible to new recruits, especially on this server, since it's not that big and most of the time ppl are here to enjoy the game and have fun, while living their regular lives, not vice versa.

i have nothing to do with any of you guys but i thought i could fight my boredom by jumping in saying:

this guild is just stating clearly to everyone what they're up to, just to avoid having people apply and go apeshit on their asses if they find out that those people aren't really what fits to the guild

i understand that point of view, my own guild is usually very careful about new invitations because one or two "wrong" people can screw up the whole communication in a guild which consists of 6 people (or something like that) to begin with...

there are other guilds with less strict rules (take NJ for example, international, huge guild...)

P.S. im not sure but i never really saw them writing they have got families, just that they ARE a family... as in a group of people who know each other really well...

maybe im gonna see some of you guys around, good luck finding people who fit into your guild :)

Hi Ceaseless. I sent in an app a couple days ago or so, character name is Rahnza. Currently a 42 Skald. My first group on this server was with Vraen and he recommended you guys. I'm an EST player from NY and Ceaseless seems to be the best fit for me here. I played a Paci Healer from release up to ToA. Been many years and lots of stuff implemented after I quit as well as getting used to the basics, but it's like riding a bike. If anyone wants to chat shoot me a tell, currently cleaning up in Wilton :)

Question though, are there particular classes you guys are lacking? I see you guys have a core of skalds. I enjoy playing a lot of different classes, and would rather be playing with a core group of skilled players than PUGing guildlessly.

Edit: Registered on your forums awhile ago, never got approved :)

Awesome we will take a look!

The above person trying to "make drama from nothing" are the exact ppl we try to avoid. So thank you for making an example for us.

As for you question. We are big believers in playing a class that you will enjoy so you will stick around longer. But if you really wanna play what we need. We currently a little short on more Mele dps, like Zerks/sav/war.
But like i said. We could really use more of everything!

And likewise, I would never join a guild that doesn't use vent.

Alrite, Ithiggi. The elitist comment about vent /clap. Ventrilo has been used as a stereotype for "leet speak" ... c`mon, your dreaming. We enjoy *TALKING* to our players, instead of typing, especially while doing different things on this game.

I belive you said, "wow thats harsh ... the fact that you have to use vent is what would stop me from even looking at this L33t guild."..

I don't think I made this thread for folks to let us know you will NOT be applying.. but, I can make that clear now, for you sir.

On another note, this post has done well ~ We have received a few applications and it is working as intended.

Appreciate the solid PM's we have received, as well as the applications sent in! Let's keep them coming. We are nearing a time where we will hitting "end game" :)

And of course, we do use ventrilo, so end game will be L33t (according to Ithiggi.)

Also, Terragon, the kiddo comment was to kinda make you take your foot OUT of your mouth, while using a WoW statement here, kiddo.

(Oh, fun tidbit - I bought a new 2009 Charger last year, and my license plate is L 3 3 7..true story)
